I think the best Rondo could realistically do is 15/11/6 and 3 steals, but if did that (which is really good) while having good shooting percentages and being voted into the All-Star game as a starter by fans I'd be pretty happy. The later part about the voting is important, because I think if he gets that we are a lot more likely to draw a big name to the city sooner.
Either of these are my dream scenarios:
Both start with him getting a really nice box score split like that above, then at the All-Star Break, we either:
A.) Trade Wallace + Picks + Sully for a big name player like Kevin Love or Marc Gasol right at the trade deadline
or
B.) Have Rondo cut his minutes way back and work on developing the young guys, then just miss the playoffs by a game and win the lottery, then add the #1 pick and a big name player through a Wallace trade in the summer (while not giving up any of our Nets picks)
Also, if we get some kind of Godfather offer like McLemore and 3 unprotected Kings first rounders and the rights to swap picks in another year I'm okay with it, but only if the other team is really overpaying. I would like to keep Rondo around, just because he can be a legit starter on a championship team even now and he is so fun to watch.
