You know, for a team that didn't rebuild by winning the lottery and getting a superstar, they are slowly becoming very respectable again. They're highest pick was Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, which has been a total disappointment.

I don't. The Pacers need a second ball handler very, very badly now, and George isn't really that guy.

They need a first ball-handler too.

it's other way-round
Being away from George will be good for Lance
without he can now pad his stats on scoring

I'm not sure how it impacts their play (they made a 2nd round run with Stephenson a non-factor, and an ECF run when he was just a role player), but I think a lot of the Pacers will be happy to see Lance go.  An awful lot of thinly veiled jabs at him during the last few months of the season.

What a bargain.
Unbelievable.
He's the same price as Jeff Green, about 30% better than Avery Bradley and only 11% more.
What a crock.

Lance can blow in Danny Ainge's ear! We should have acquired him for that price. Offered a sign and trade with a pick.  The media has made too much of Lance's antics.  Had Indiana won, they would have been glorifying him as a modern day bad boy.  This signing is a steal. What the hell is going on in Charlotte?  Good moves in the off season!

Well, Charlotte couldn't really "do it" through drafting so I guess free agency was the way to go. Huge gets in Jefferson last year and hopefully Lance is inspired to have a similar impact. Hornets wiffed on MKG, Zeller, and Biyombo if you ask me...call me pessimistic but I'm not sure any of them will be worth their pick status when all is said and done. I've been wrong before though so who knows. Best draft pick they've had in recent memory was Kemba and as a Conn. native I'm happy to see him with Lance and Big Al.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

We couldn't have acquired him for that price. From earlier:

Yes. We didn't have cap space for him. We had to let the Pierce trade exception expire, and make some other trades to clear cap space.

Sorry, all that maneuvering wasn't going to happen.

ok.  Well jeez, thanks.  Didnt realize danny was that handcuffed with moeny.  The way it sounded he had all kinds of cap room to work with.  Well, I hope he at least tried to get stephenson, because imo he's still better than Bradley.

It sounded like that because few people here bother to at least try to gain basic understanding of the CBA at the very least :) So misinformation gets perpetuated.

Next year is when we'll have real cap space to work with. Hope something significant falls into our lap.

Bradley better play like he is being paid. He has a lot to prove now, now that he is paid almost like Stevenson

Why are people so down on MKG? Sure he's not a superstar but he still has the chance to be a very good player. He's still very young with a great attitude and work ethic. He will improve.

He hasn't really been the same since his concussion.

And his offensive game hasn't developed at all.

Pour one out for George Hill.

Not yet maybe, but I'm sure he'll get better. He made big strides last year and he was much better at initiating their offense. Honestly, I don't think he's that far off Durant in terms of handling the ball. But that's not exactly what I meant. Stephenson leaving opens up the opportunity to make Hill a 2 and try and get a real point guard. Stephenson had issues playing with Hill, among others, and a true point guard should make things easier for George and co.
