Avery Bradley and James Young are both borderline great shooters.

Who watched this game... not so long ago. This kid can ball.

We are hardly the team to rate a C against.   Our interior D was abyssmal and we have no shot blockers.  Seraphim looks great against us too.

Sullinger and Olynyk = sieve on D

That's the darndest thing. I'd never heard of him before he played the C's but afterwards i was convinced he was a star.

Beware, there are more Zellers than Lopez's or Collins's.

What about Plumlees'?

If that is great, I would hate to see your bad.   I think they are good at best but great, NO WAY!

I think he will be our starting center come this year. He should mesh well with SUllinger

A pair of steaks will mesh well with Sullinger. I'm more interested whether he will mesh well with Olynyk.

Hmm... who were the centers on the Rockets this last year?

His success will largely depend on how much weight he is able to gain, but his upside is pretty good in an uptempo system with a pass first point guard.

Stevens not known for uptempo style offense, more of a half court guru.  Wonder if he will figure out a way to take advantage of Zeller's ability to run the floor.

Actually, Danny said he was a good fit for Stevens' system as a 5 that would run the floor to the front of the rim. Stevens echoed that in his quotes on the acquisition

The primary passing goal of Steven's motion offense is to pass it into the post.  So you want someone who can read weak side gaps to make a cut to the basket in rhythm with the offense (as well as run to the hoop on transition, as you indicate), with good hands and who can finish quickly.   I think Zeller will work well in this regard.  He gets his shot up quickly off the catch.

He's not that great of a self-point-creator, as his back-to-the-basket skills are not that strong yet, though he's not terrible and should improve with experience.   I think Sully & Olynyk are both more skilled in that area.

Zeller is going to workout better for us than he did for the cavs.

Funny how we got sully and melo in that 2012 draft. Now we have sully and zeller

Sully, zeller and KO is going to be a nice trio upfront for years to come. Cauley Stein would be tremendous addition for next season

In that 2012 draft zeller is looking like the 2nd best center after davis. Leonard is looking like a bust

after watching some of those highlights I didn't really see anything special. any rebound he got in traffic the opposing player that had better position just missed the ball. all the other rebounds he got there were no opposing players under the basket just cavs. and was the taller of the bunch.

i didn't really see him "run" the floor. i saw a steal at mid court when he was going to be the last person up the court but by fortune ended up with an easy basket after the steal.

i think we're still in need for the future C.

He is not going to grab those rebounds like drummond if thats what your looking for(but maybe able to with some with added strength).  Its mainly about positioning , boxing out, tapping rebounds to players or chasing loose balls quicker than any center can.

not saying he's a stiff, he hustles. he's just not the answer that we're looking for.

If we got tiago splitter, would he be the answer we be looking for?

I would say yes.

Zeller and splitter are similar players. Pf/c that is not especially strong, long, athletic but mobile , high iq, skilled, fundementally sound players
