I am speechless. Completely speechless. I had my heart set on Julius Randle and he went to the Fakers. Is Marcus Dumb the second coming of Kobe Bryant?????? I doubt it. I think he is a poor mans Tony Allen.

"Fakers"?  "Marcus Dumb"??   How old are you?...12???
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

I missed the stats espn was flashing but Smart was 1st in 5 categories in pg comparisons

I saw 4

1st in steals
1st in wingspan (6'9)
1st in rebounds
1st in blocks

This kid is a defensive machine and has the skills to be a nice player in this league. He played on a mediocre OKC state team and should do better with better support.

I am hoping that Smart will develop into a good player for us, but saying that he will get better support from a very bad celtics team isn't very logical.

If anything I believe smart will struggle with not being able to overpower other nba guards and wings.  He isn't as athletic as everyone makes him out to be.  I watched OSU play maybe 10 times last year, smart was outplayed twice by deadre kane from ISU.  I like his desire and hustle but he is a flopper, and I personally think he is over-rated, and I am disappointed at taking him at #6.  I think we should have traded down.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'm really happy with the pick.
Smart has the potential to be an All Star, and he's also NBA ready in pretty much every field except his shooting.
He's got a great shooting technique and it should be easy to smooth it out and make it better.
This guy is the closest thing to Dywane Wade coming out of the draft since 2003.

Love his game and his aggression going to the basket, this guy is what we wanted in Avery Bradley and could be the best guard defender other than Gordon in this draft.
Defensive beast already, with enormous upside on offense, topped off with a killer mentality.
Love it.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Just waiting for a "James OLD" comment next.

Smart will be better at least in the early going than Exum.....who seems introverted. So maybe not a good floor leader like Smart will be.

He has the confidence to step on the court .....not hide ...and can ve a leader Stevens will develop as his own man......sorta like Doc did with Rondo

Long run .....he has to learn to shoot too.

for the naysayers to preview

Nice pick imo. I liked Randle also at 6 but Smart was willing to compete against others and also actually came for the 2nd workout.
