Love the pick!

I felt he was the right selection there...BPA and best potential in the NBA. Great competitor, great defender, great leader. Teach him how to shoot and let him lead us for 10 years.

I hate this. I almost hate this as much as Kelly Olynyk or Fab Melo.

Co-signed.

Smart has really been my "binkie" since December.

I'm really happy with this pick.

Honestly Id have been happy with either Smart or Vonleh at #6, but I do feel Smart is a bit of a safer bet and less of a risk.

The thing I like about this is that Exum went #5 and Vonleh at #9. That means both could be relatively cheap acquisitions of Boston decides to trade up with either pick.

Id be really thrilled if Boston traded say, Olynyk (or Sully) and #17 to Charlotte for Vonleh.  We don't need both players,  so it would allow us to add a rim protector for cheap

He was the best available, although I was hoping for Gordon, Embiid or Exum.  I still really like the pick, though.

I am speechless. Completely speechless. I had my heart set on Julius Randle and he went to the Fakers. Is Marcus Dumb the second coming of Kobe Bryant?????? I doubt it. I think he is a poor mans Tony Allen.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I know Smart is a tough player, and will probably be a good player in the NBA, but I just wanted more from the 6th pick.

I think we should have traded the pick and tried to pick up more assets.  I don't think he is a game changer, or someone we build around.  I am not crazy about a 3 guard lineup of RR, AB and Smart because I think either RR or AB is most likely out the door, more than likely Rondo.

With all the hype of the possible Love trade, or Embid falling to us, picking Smart doesn't seem like it improves the team a lot.  Just my opinion.

We'll with embiid, Gordon and exum off the board I guess you take what you can get but bleegh.
Poor shooting bowling ball with a chip on his shoulder.
Guess all the rondo haters will get their wish and then get to watch another poor shooter run the team, but at least this guy can't pass.

Praying there's a trade in the works. 4 and 12 for 6, 17 and another pick/player

Better offensively than Allen by a mile. He can shoot, just inconsistently

Smart is a solid all-around player.

I missed the stats espn was flashing but Smart was 1st in 5 categories in pg comparisons

I saw 4

1st in steals
1st in wingspan (6'9)
1st in rebounds
1st in blocks

This kid is a defensive machine and has the skills to be a nice player in this league. He played on a mediocre OKC state team and should do better with better support.
