Josh Smith as a target wouldn't surprise me at all.

Ainge is apparently high on Gordon, who has the same limitations as Smith (Jump shot, free throws).  Only Smith is probably even more athletic and definately more valuable down low thanks to his added strength and post game.

Either way,  if DA really likes Gordon's game then that means none of Smith's limitations are likely to concern him, and Smith may well be available for less than Gordon lol

If Aaron Gordon has a better understanding of his limitations and more discipline to not stray beyond those limits, he could  be a more productive player than Josh Smith even if Josh Smith has more talent.

And then if we don't move Rondo soon, how soon until he starts "acting out"?
I guarantee that if we do move Rondo, you will hear some negative things about him shortly afterwards.

Am I the only one who couldn't even focus at work and was a nervous wreck all day?

I'd be pretty disappointed if Celtics brass bashed Rondo after he left town. He's no angel and they've never shielded him from negative publicity - it'd just be tacky to me if they started "leaking" stories. Such a Timberwolves thing to do.

My gut was telling my we end up with Love tonight but it looks like that won't be happening. I am now feeling we end up with Embiid and trade up from 17 to get Mcbuckets.

I know the only thing that would make loosing out on Asik and Love OK would be getting Embid and LaVine/Napier/Anderson. No love for McBuckets here and Hope that we are not being distracted by all the Lebron and Melo BS. A last minute trade for Gortat wouldn't hurt though.

I was lucky to work from home today, so I could check on rumors all day. Didn't get as much done as I wanted. Had to put the headphones on for a while to push threw some work. Got up way earlier than I would have normal though.

721 and my gut is still saying DA isn't done with Flip.. Around 745 he will call up and send the real offer that will help the Wolves rebuild and give a decent return, Sully, that Flip cant deny..

If my gut is wrong, then my back up gut is we take Smart or Gordon at 6 then Young or Napier at 17... and keep Rondo too.

I hope you're right about the first part. On the 2nd part i'll take Smart. I am not sold on Gordon. If Embiid or Smart is the pick i am ok with that.

My gut is saying we keep the picks and take Noah Vonleh and Dario Saric. I think the Aaron Gordon and Marcus Smart rumors were smoke by Danny Ainge. Ainge never shows his hand. If Embiil you jump at that pick.

My gut feeling is that I'm going to be retired before the Celtics are relevant again.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."
