How do we get Harrison Barnes is the question?  Brandon Bass and 17?

Interesting, Woj was just on CBS sports radio talking about how GSW doesn't want to give up Thompson and Flip wants to sell Love like POR did with Aldridge. We'll know soon enough if a deal is in place.

I trust WOJ over CHad ford 100%

not to mention the fact that 1 week ago CHad ford said it is almost definite he comes to the celtics ::)

Right. Woj says he has a strong belief that Love will be starting the season with the Wolves, but it doesn't mean that he won't be traded by deadline.

Portland has a little thing called Lilliard on their side.

Hello...they have Rubio  ;D  ;D Woj said that Flip believes he can get that 8 seed and people are selling the team short.

Celtics send #6 and 2015 clippers first round to Orlando for #4 and select embiid, then send #17, our 2015 first round, 2016 nets first round, the pick we get from Philadelphia next year(either first round or 2 second round picks, Brandon bass, jeff green and if needed Kelly olynik or jared sullinger to Minnesota for kevin love. then go after LeBron or Carmelo in free agency. Starting lineup: Rondo, Bradley, Lebron/Carmelo, Love, Embiid.

I don't see such a thing being reported anywhere else.

Believe when I see it. If it happens, lets go all out for Embiid.

This is the best choice left...to pick Embiid at 6.  While at it, is it possible to trade (Rondo and Sully) up for Parker or Wiggins?

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my

If it was a solid report then Ford would have broken it himself and not in a podcast.

He doesn't have sources on this likely as both sides are actively leaking the opposite, instead its what he thinks has happened. He views this all as posturing while they fight over the ancillary pieces.

If I were Minny I'd want this in the headlines, too. Scare Ainge into giving his truly best offer.

Even if it is true, it doesn't mean it can't fall apart.  We still have multiple home run scenarios open, including getting Love, getting Melo, Exum falling to us, Embiid falling to us, another trade that nobody has even reported on yet....

Even if none of that happens, we'll add two solid talents to our team and tank again, get two more solid talents in the next draft and then have a ton of cap room.  The only thing that could happen that would hurt us long term is dramatically overpaying for someone.

Yeah, I typed up a similar post but it got ate.

There's no real news in the podcast, Ford's just informally saying he thinks the deal is inevitable since all the key pieces are on the table and they're just arguing over the rest.

Since no major draft picks appear to be in play this could easily stretch on past the draft, but Minny's leverage will drop off once the draft is over so they may want to finalize it by then.  Either way the GS package seems like the one they actually want, so if GS has agreed to the core of the deal it probably is a matter of time barring a huge falling out.

Congratulations to Minnesota on winning the 8th seed.  It's a real accomplishment.  :-\
and when they do sign Thompson to a max deal they can say hello to perpetual mediocrity forever...again.
