LeBron should consider going to Houston because a Harden, LeBron & Dwight trio would be incredible - clearly the best offer in my opinion.

However, I think LeBron stays in Miami. They have a great infrastructure there. Good talent around him. Won titles and made 4 Finals appearances in as many years since he joined them. That is an awful lot to walk away from. I doubt he is ready to do that just yet. I think this FA moment may have come a year or two too early for LeBron to leave Miami.

Imo lebron is going back to the cavs. Especially with some of the clues his wife has said .

He is going to ask the team to draft wiggins and pickup a legit center by trading a combo of bennett, thompson , waiters

C-?
Pf- verajao
Sf-lebron
Sg-wiggins
Pg-irving

Tough looking team

Trade the top pick for Love, then sign Okafor.

C- Okafor, Varejo
Pf Love, Varajao
Sf Lebron
SG waiters
Pg Irving

I will really not watch basketball if Melo ends up with Miami with the super friends.

And deny seeing that cast of all stars swept in next year's finals by the Spurs?  I wouldn't miss it for the world.

This really isn't huge news.

The big news is that, at least initially, this doesn't appear to be coordinated with Wade or Bosh's decisions.

Mike

Great point. If Wade does not opt out, I think Lebron leaves Miami. They can't restructure that roster with Wade on the books for so much $$.  Bosh too, but to a lesser extent.

The salary cap for net season is 63.2 million and the Heat's payroll was 69.4m before he opted out, not including cap holds for roster spots.  Even if he takes a 5m pay cut, they are still over the cap.  If Wade does the same, that still leaves very little room.

I think he's leaving to find an easier path to another championship.

Do NBA has a rule on how much decrease a player can have on it's current salary??

My take on this is that 70% he'll join again the Heat... or 30% go back to the Cavs which is really laughable as the Cavs almost wanted to kill LBJ after he left then they'll be chearing for him when he goes back...
No there is no such rule. You can only have a decrease in salary at the same percentage, 4.5%/7.5% of the first year contract value, you could have salary increases.

So its hard to have front loaded contracts, but they can decrease by quite a bit.

DWade needs to getting Tim Duncan money at this point (or less), but he's too proud to give up much of the $20M / yr that he's due. I can easily see him restructure (a la Paul Pierce) for more years and slightly more money but he's not taking a big pay cut and he needs to be.

Embiid
Sully / KO
LeBron / Wallace
Green / Bradley
Rondo / Kyle Anderson

Ha.

If it was a joke, indicate its a joke in the post. Fake news headlines and stories like that aren't allowed. We get enough junk via rumor, we don't need deliberate misdirection too.

perhaps Lebron also wants to prove a point.  If he leaves and the 2 friends stay (for the money) and Miami goes 32-50 it might justify the loss to the Spurs.

Of course, Battier and probably Ray leaves, too, but the point stands.

Naive. Michael Jordon said he wants to come out of basketball to play for the Celtics.. The board could use some humor especially for the guys who sit on here all day waiting to critize some one elese posts..

Lebron wants to be liked, like most of us do. (well, maybe not Kobe or KG).  Going back to Cleveland is the ultimate move to be liked again, especially by his homies.

What would Cleveland do on its part to assure he can come home again?  Love trade?  Maybe, but in that case, who would Minny take with the 1 pick?  Wiggins or Parker?  How would that impact Embiid sliding to 6?  Well, if Minny took Wiggins, Utah would try to trade up to 2 and take Parker.  Milwaukee has already ruled out drafting Embiid at 2, and would hope they would have the same conclusion at 5.  I think Philly and ORL are already passing on Embiid, so this would be a net positive for us.

If Lebron stays with Miami, or elects to go somewhere other than Cleveland, I think Cleveland has to seriously consider the Utah offer of Favors and 5, whereby Cleveland would take Embiid at 5.  If so, we would have to work out a trade with ORL to get Embiid.  I think our 17 has added value to them in that they can use it to draft Saric and stash him for a couple of years.  They are known to take that strategy, and have two other first round picks to feel comfortable stashing Saric at 17.  Maybe we can get their high 2nd round pick in the process and draft a project like Walter Taveres, as insurance on Embiid's foot.

Got it??

Wade should sign a 4 year , 42.5 million dollar deal.   Those last two years wont be a big deal if the cap goes up as much as it has been speculated.  Make the first two years lower so they can sign Melo or Lowry.  Something like 9.5, 10, 11, 12 over the course of 4 years.

She posted a picture to instagram saying she was happy to be back in Ohio for the summer. Had nothing to do with basketball.
