We should trade up and get him with second pick..not use the first .

Parker and Wiggins. 1 and 2 ...no question now.

Exum  3th

Gordon 4th

smart 5th

Vonleh or Embiid 6th

Randle 7th

So what are the chances that the Celtics acquire Embiid now?

This is huge.

This changes everything.

Danny, take a chance with this guy.  If he does not drop down to 6, figure out how to get him. Take the risk with his injury, no risk, no reward. I know that sounds crazy, but when healthy, this guy is a stud.

I just hope this is not Sam Bowie or Bill Walton redux.

I would stay away from Embiid..too many health concerns..and foot problems are a career threating injury..look at bill Walton, Yao Ming, Brook Lopez etc..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

If he were car.

He might be called a LEMON

I don't see the Lakers skipping him though.

If he's there at #6, you really have to ask yourself "Why?".

It's going to be because medical reports & red flags.  Not promising news.  If he slips to #6, it means that team doctors think this guy's injuries are a real concern going forward.  Teams aren't drafting him because they're incompetent, its for good reason.

So why waste the #6 pick on Embiid?  If he's there at #6, it's not for good reason.  I'm probably passing.

I'm REALLY not sure what I want now for Embiid

I mean, back injuries and foot injuries...that's a LOT of red flags to me...not sure how he will hold up at his height and weight...and he's young

If he falls to is we have to take the risk. Tell flip to stuff it and sign love next summer.
Even if Embiid sits a year I'd still take him.
Funny how  Noel's stock is as high as it is considering how he spent a year recovering from his injury, wouldn't he fit the "stay away from injured big men" meme?

Embiids camp has a week to quiet any discontent about his foot.  This is still Cleveland we are talking about here, I think they probably still take him as his physical went ok with them unless this injury turns out to be something that could impact his career.

Kevin Love is seriously injury prone and you guys want to trade half our assets to pay him the max.

I'll take the injury prone center, pay him 4 million a year, and keep the rest of our assets, like pick 17, Sully, KO, and future firsts, and 16 million extra dollars a year to pay another star.

A big man with back *and* foot issues?

 :-\

Yeah, I know people are all hot and bothered over Embiid but I'd be hesitant to even take him at #6.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

He could ,  I mean could like Sully ....fall way way down in the teens ......

Danny trade 17 up to 14 and grab him

Trade 6 for Love.

And, there's very little physical wear-and-tear on him, because he hasn't been playing hoops that long.  If his body is breaking down with so few basketball minutes, how's he going to do after 82 games of wear-and-tear?  After 5 years?

I'd defer to the doctors, but this seems like a high risk pick.  The reward is potentially huge, as well, so it's a tough call.

By that same logic, we should have passed on Sullinger.  Did you oppose that pick when it was made?
