I got this from another site but it comes from the herald. no link, i'm lazy.

Jared Sullinger is working on changing his body into something more suited for the rigors of the NBA season.

Sullinger is working with assistant coach Jay Larranaga and strength coach Bryan Doo this summer in an effort to execute better in the fourth quarter and avoid fatigue that leads to cheap fouls. "Just hopefully a totally different Jared Sullinger from last year," Sullinger answered when asked what the changes might look like. "We?ll see. I?m trying to figure that out, as well. I can?t tell you everything. There has to be some surprise. Oh, yeah, y?all are going to be able to recognize me. I?m going to still have the same ugly face. It just might be a different body." Sullinger is coming off a sophomore season in which he averaged 13.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks.

This is begging for someone to demonstrate their photoshop abilities.

Yes. As much as you want to make fun of sully he is going to make an impact in this league. Maybe not as strong as those guys but stronger than most pfs in todays nba in a few seasons

That's good to hear, But we have to see it.  I really do think he will be a good power forward if he commits himself to fitness.  Not an allstar level, but close.  I was shocked to see he could only bench press 9 reps at the combine.  That shows he never put the time in to even work on his strength.  It also shows he has potential.  He has a good feel for the game, a soft touch, knows how to use his body, and has a lot of natural functional strength.   Let's just hope he has the willpower and determination.

True, but to be fair, he spent a lot of time on the couch recuperating from back surgery.

Talk is fun, but he has never been able to control his weight, I'm not sure I believe he will be able to now.

I remember when Big Baby was "working on his body" too.

So did Gronk, remember how he looked when he came back?

"That's part of the whole rehab process," Gronkowski said about adding strength. "It's not just rehabbing your arm and the back. I took off my whole body for about a couple months. So, you got to get everything going again, all muscles firing again and all parts of your body. That's a big process, getting back in shape, running shape, football shape and getting your strength back. I've just been working on that the last few weeks, also." Gronkowski said he didn;t lose any weight while he was rehabbing. He did look noticeably skinnier during training camp, though. Gronkowski is listed at 265 pounds. "I don't really lose weight," Gronkowski said. "I can look skinny and still be the same amount of weight. It goes by skinny or looking jacked. So I was skinny back a few months."

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

The case in point is he had to take just as much time off his feet (arguably more, he had multiple surgeries), and he didn't report to the team looking like a meatball.

As someone mentioned up there, talk is cheap. I'll wait for the results.

I remember when Big Baby was "working on his body" too.

I have no idea if he'll succeed or not, and to what extent.  He's a big dude.  But he's only 22.  Metabolisms change a lot during your teens and early 20's, so past performance may not be an indicator of future results.

Regardless, I'm certainly less concerned about weight that I would be body-fat percentage.
