Excited to see TJ Warren in that uptempo Phoenix Suns offense. Great fit.

Nurkic at 17th would fix my draft night.

BTW Im so jealous of the magic, Payton, Oladipo and Gordon, Wow talk about a likeable team, way to go Orlando... they might never win anything though.
Orlando is having a very solid draft.  like that trade for them a lot.  wonder what else they have to give up to move up those 2 spots.  If Harkless and/or Nicholson can get it together next year, they'll be a team on the rise very shortly

Philly well on its way to tanking again next season.

I am hoping for Capela, Nurkic or Ennis at #17.

Yeah. Someone good is going to be there at 17.

Harris is sliding. I also like James Young. That's a nice pool of 5 to select from!

I hope we trade Smart.

Although I wonder if you could trade Rondo to Orlando for Saric and Gordon.
I am so sorry you are having a bad night. Mine is going great.
mine too. absolutely love the smart pick.

If they couldn't get Embiid, I wanted the Celtics to draft Gordon or Smart. I'm a little disappointed that Embiid was gone. But I'm really happy with Smart. He brings a skillset and intangibles that just can't be taught.

Lavine looked really upset about being a timberwolf.

Timberwolves basketball... It's fan-tastic.

That's hilarious.  Nobody wants to play there.  How disappointing it must be for that team and its fans to witness their draft pick drop the f bomb in disappointment after getting picked by your team.

This draft totally blows imo so far.  I wanted Gordon (or Exum) at 6, instead we get Andre Miller 2.0, a solid player but the Wade or other comparisons have to stop, they are ridiculous, Smart is nowhere near as fluid as a Wade.  Stupid Jazz, we had the same freaking record yet they played in a MUCH tougher conference, yet we end up with 6th thanks to a freaking coin flip.

Also, this draft has been completely boring so far, no shockers whatsoever, for all the hype of movement/trades.

Marcus Smart is much better than you think.

Please, to those of you who say Smart cant shoot... please calm down...

There's a HUGE difference in Rondo cant shoot and Smart cant shoot.

If you leave Rondo wide at the 3 line he will hesitate then pass, if you leave Smart wide open from deep he WILL make it. Smart may not be able to shoot effectively over guys, but he CAN hit shots.

He also is a fierce leader, good defender, good passer and HUGE body that can board and post up.

Calm down
Nah... mediocre player for a mediocre team.

Lol honestly I never watch COllege ball.  If Danny likes Smart, so be it.  Pretty sure he just took him, because everyone he actually wanted as off the board... and we already have 3 PFs on this team.

Wonder if any trade option with Orlando exists, assuming the rumor they loved Smart (although he kind of duplicates what Oladipo des).  I'm all about quality over quantity, Smart is ok but I believe Gordon will be great.  Smart + 17 for Gordon?  Not sure Orlando would even consider.

Couldn't have said it any better

Gordon will be a bum, I'm absolutely thrilled Orlando took him at 4...shocked,  but thrilled.  They will be the laughing stock of the league in a couple of years when they realise that athleticism is not everything.

Not sure why people are winning over the smart pick.   He was the best player available, and one of the more domimant scorers and defenders in college he suits the team's needs too.

Everybody here keeps complaining that Boston doesn't have enough guys who attack the basket,  draw fouls etc,  and that we always get stuck chucking jumpers.   Smart is the guy to solve that problem.

He's also bigger and stronger than Bradley,  and one of the few guards in the draft who could replace his production of he leaves.   I suspect Smart is going to become a real good player.   If he doesn't become at least a 17/4/4 guy I'll be very surprised.

I strongly disagree that Gordon will be a bum, think he will be a terrific NBA player.  You're right Smart probably was BPA, so I'm not bummed at the pick Danny made but rather who had already been taken by 6.  A great wing or big man is worth a lot more than a 6'3" guard all else being equal.  I could see Smart as a starter on a great NBA team.
