here's the 6'7 shooting guard we've been wanting. left handed, super elite 5 star recruit with many moves and a sharp shooter.

high school stud who slipped like bradley, sullinger, etc.  danny ainge does it every time.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Love the James Young pick.

Do I have to drive the James Young fan-bus??

I'll be in the front seat of that bus. I love his potential.

Love the pick. With Smart and Young as our Guards, I'm ready to move on from Rondo if he gets traded.

Quite a logjam in the backcourt now. Trade(s) coming for sure.

Hell yes.

This 'Cat was the only one who could consistently create offense for Kentucky in the championship.  I think he'll get a chance to show what he can do now that he's away from the Harrison twins (who I really disliked as playmakers).

Yes!!! James Young is a swing for the fences talent pick. He's a big wing with the complete game.

His aggressiveness is the only question mark. But i will take that at 17!

So with Ainge picking Smart and J.Young, does this mean the end of Avery Bradley?

This was my first thought after Smart was picked.  I don't think Rondo is going to be moved unless Ainge receives an offer that blows him away.

Good luck on your new team AB.

To be honest, I really love our picks at 6 and 17.  I think Danny did really good.

I don't mind the Young pick at all. I was hoping the 17th pick would be Hood, Young or McDermont. If now the Celtics have a trade lined up for Smart or Bradley, I can cheer up after being down with the Smart pick (rather than a trade).

Woj- Celts getting Young.

I'm huge on James Young. Love him

Ditto.  Seeing Bill Simmons pump his fist was funny, and random, hahaha ;D  We need a couple of early 2nd rounders now.  Why is Gary Harris dropping this much?

Boston confirms the Celtics are keeping the pick of James Young. So Celtics were looking at trades all week, but keeping Marcus Smart/Young.

AB is probably now a likely S&T candidate.  can't imagine resigning him for 3 years for any amount with these 2 guys on board.

hate having to wait to see if the C's can land a second rounder
