Kristaps Porzingis has withdrawn from this years draft, will stay in Europe for another 12 months and enter next year instead where he believes he can be a higher selection

Were other players that did all-time great defenders? If not, then explaining why he's more likely to succeed than other players with similar measurements would be a good argument. It seems to never quite register with you guys, but we're not just comparing size, length, and athleticism. Sure, there have been a lot of great athletes to come and go, but Gordon isn't just a great athlete. Gordon has the same natural talent as a point forward, with his great iq, decision making, and passing vision. Also, if you watch actual games of Arizona, of which there are many available on youtube, you will notice that his focus and defensive decision making are top notch, which is even more impressive considering he's just an 18 year old freshman. He rarely misses a rotation, rarely fails to help out with maximum effort and reaction time, his footwork is amazing, and he seems to never lose focus. Again, if he's the player you claim he'll never be around when we pick anyways. I guess we should just wait and see what happens at this point and you can hit me with a "I told you so" when he's a perennial all-star. Just make sure if you bring up anything I said you use the exact quote down to the punctuation. I get whiny when people don't.

For those who are dismissing NL, my observation of most of you is that you spend 99% of your posts criticizing those like him who spend the time to research and then take a position. Remind me of Archie Bunker. You sit on your favorite chair and just criticize others, but contribute so little on the constructive end. It's easy to criticize. Why don't you offer alternatives. If Gordon such an awful choice at 6, who is better, and why? Most of you don't take a position on that. Why? And "well, I'd trade the pick because they all suck" is a cop out.

Does that mean Gordon's one of those ESPN prospects you were just railing about? Now you're really reaching. So who's your binky that drives your dismissing of Gordon and his inevitable growth and potential? There's somebody you really want or you wouldn't be so dismissive of this elite prospect with elite intangibles. No, there isn't. That's why I can look at the draft dispassionately, instead of desperately searching for the guy that the professionals are ignoring in order to perpetuate ESPN's agenda, or whatever nonsense you insist on spouting. You simply don't understand how highly Gordon is and has been regarded by NBA scouts and executives. That's not actually true, though -- Gordon's been on scouts radars since give or take 2012, and there's a reason he's been considered on the low end of the top 10 for a while, except by you and a couple other posters here.

Could care less where Gordon was drafted. If he doesn't develop an outside shot, he still is a role player selected way too high.We will see.

Expect Gordon not to need a knock down outside shot to be more than a role player, drafted just right.
