How can anyone say that Chalmers hook on Parker was not a flagarant foul?

The only one I recall mentioning that it wasn't, on his initial impression, was Van Gundy... and he in general rarely agrees something is flagrant in the first place.

But I think all of them, or at least Breen and Jackson after watching it a couple of times from a few angels both agreed that there was a windup and that it should've been flagrant.

So... the point of this thread?

Simple baseline drive, and Chalmers most likely incidentally tried to push Parker back by elbowing to create space... It happens.

Chalmers did wind up, but who knows? Didn't Jackson agree after the couple few reviews that it will be called a Flagrant?

They actually blamed Ginobili for taking a swipe at Wade rather than blaming Wade for flopping/

while I agree that the flop from wade was more offensive and egregious. they did have a point, ginobli had 2 fouls already reaching in there opens himself up to picking up a cheap foul.

and he did get the foul? the question is will Wade get fined?

There has to be a more drastic penalty for obvious flops that get an opponent in foul trouble. Maybe a technical foul on the flopper or a personal foul to balance things out when the flop is discovered during the game or the flopper starts the next game with a personal foul.

ohh i'd love for them to fix this freaking sport when it comes to the officiating.

i personally wish they would do away with the on court officials and have 2 of 'em in a booth officiating from there, seeing what we're seeing. because the ones on the court aren't getting it done.

You're absolutely right. As a big bball fan I hate to say it, but the NBA nowadays reminds me alot of the WWE.

It's more entertainment than it is a sport and you almost always know what the outcome of the game is going to be before the game even starts. Lord knows the officials will make sure of that.

In the meantime, the commentators will kiss Lebron's as* because he's the face of the NBA.

Watching the finals is like watching Wrestlemania.

I liked when they were reviewing the out of bounds decision where LeBron stripped Parker at the end.

You could see clearly with each replay that when LeBron brings his arm up, his fist connects with Parker's face/chin before swiping down at the ball.

Their response?  LeBron could not have made a better defensive play!!!

I guess disorienting somebody with an uppercut before you swipe at the ball is just smart basketball when you're the chosen one.

Too bad that Parker was focusing on actually putting the ball through the basket instead of flopping backwards 10 feet like James/Wade/Bosh would have done.

If Miami keeps LeBron and his 1.2 career PFs per game on Parker, SA might be in trouble.

Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

on Ginobili's 3rd foul you could clearly see that the ref wasn't watching the play. He looked over just as Wade did his "I've been shot by a sniper" act and blew the whistle.

One of the worst calls I've ever seen because he certainly did not see what happened.
