Man, I did not see a lot of Alexis Sanchez in Barca.

He's really, really good.

I hope Alexis Sanchez leaves Barcelona. Too dynamic a winger to kept trapped there in that tika-taka possession game. I'd love to see him in England. He'd be lethal in that up and down nature of the English game. Barca doesn't make the most of his ability.

That's a shame.  I thought Australia played very well tonight.  After going 2-0 down within the first 14 minutes they never gave up.  I would have liked to for them to a pull point from this one.  They deserved it.

Chile were unconvincing. Looked really weak defensively.

Lack of height throughout the team made them vulnerable to high balls and set pieces. Not enough about them defensively. Australia got a lot of good crossing opportunities in wide areas. Poor little Gary Medal got man-handled in the air by Tim Cahill. Their central midfielders (Diaz, Vidal) didn't offer enough cover to the backline. Allowed Australia's runners from midfield a lot of room running into the box. Vidal normally is excellent at doing such things so I wonder if it his recent injuries slowing him down.

That performance was not good enough to knock off Spain or Holland. Chile really need to improve for next game.

Not a bad effort by the Socceroos. Fought it out well.

Maybe our best chance for a point is actually against Spain! :o ;)

Im not sure at what point in time during the game it happened, but I thought there was one chance where the #27 (don't know who he is, not researching) had some sort of an open shot at the net, but waited for the perfect pass and was intercepted.

Australia had chances that they blew away because they'd rather make the pass than daring Bravo and shoot. I think they could have drew if they just started striking.

I didn`t expect Holland to be this good while on rebuild mode and i didn`t expect Spain to collapse like this in the secend half. They literally gave up and it`s a bit frustrating. A slow start was normal .Key players had to play the most important games of the season 3 weeks ago and also have been in top form the last six years winning trophies with the natiotal team their clubs. Eventually they should see a big drop in their performance (for example Xavi)

Diego Costa looked in a completely  different page than the rest of the team. Maybe he is not 100% ready yet. But as Who said his style of play doesn`t blend well with the rest of the team

Chile-Spain is going to be very very interesting

Great team goal by Colombia.

The pass, the fake touch opening up the middle of the box, and a good strike.

Great team play.

Much respect to #7 of Greece (cant spell his name).

Right away after tripping on his own foot, he told the referee "no" in case he's given a penalty. Sportsmanship goes a long way.

James Rodriguez is really special. A joy to watch. Best #10 in the world?

LOL at the Costa Rican trying to argue when he CLEARLY held the player.

Deserving penalty.

Okay, now I'm on Costa Rica's side.

Same play happened on their net and was not called.

This would be a huge result for Italy and England. Costa Rica is a must-win game in this group.

Uruguay is done!

This Costa Rican team is impressive, and that's coming off a momentum losing penalty.

That seals it. 3-1 Costa Rica. Incredible result.

Uruguay facing a massive uphill battle to get out of the group now. Really need to beat both England and Italy. Tough task.
