  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I am a fan. Since the draft process started my guys have been Aaron Gordon and Zach LaVine at the 6 and 17 spots. Adding some much needed athleticism to this team. LaVine kind of scares me with how much he remind me of Gerald. However, I think LaVine doesn't have the same problems between his ears and could develop quicker than Gerald.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Seriously I've been reading this scouting report and how is he not a top 5 pick? Says he is super explosive, great at creating his own shot, and a great jumpshooter. Good size at 6'6...

Am I missing something? Says he is a meh defender and struggles with contact, but this is the nba if theres contact he'll just go to the line.

If you watch the DX video starting at around 7:00, and especially the section at 8:30 on "decisionmaking," you can get a feel for what people see as some of his limitations.

Would rather draft a basketball player than an athlete

Usually that is what Mr. Ainge does folks.

Gerald Green is 6'7.

If only he didn't lose a finger...who knows.

Edit:

So what happens if we add a finger to Gerald Green but subtract 2 inches in height.
Can we throw in a brain transplant into this Shelly-esque creation too?  :)

Extra limb for more shotblocking?

Interested if he's still around at 17. I watched some UCLA games and he really never got consistent playing time. He does shoot the ball well and could play point or shooting guard. Got the size and athletic ability to be a great defender, thinking Stacy Augmen or Sprewell type.

Definitely a gamble even at 17 but may be worth the risk. Tough pick because there's going to be a few really good players still around at 17.

Watching him drive to the left then try and finish with his right to just be blocked made me really not want him. Guy chucks like crazy
