2. Okafor for 3 million is playing it safe to, and we don't really need him if we get Sanders. I just was looking for a good bench. We could get Ekpe Udoh for 1 million and still get the same production Emeka Okafor offers.

3. We could let Avery Bradley walk if we get Hayward too. Which saves 4 million.

So let's take away Okafors 3 million, Bradley's 4 million, take 2 million off of Hayward's deal and add Udoh's 1 million dollar deal. That's 8 million saved right there.

4. If Boston re-structures Kevin Love's and Rondo's expiring contracts, Boston could save money there to. By giving Love 18 million a year and Rondo 10 million a year, that's a combined 28 million, instead of the old 29 million combined. That's another million saved.

So take the 9 million that Boston just saved by those four moves off the books. That would take 9 million off of the old 10 million over, and leave Boston only about 1 million over the cap.

1.) We're over the cap with the TE and cap holds of Avery and Kris, you can't just go over to sign an FA. That's not how the NBA cap works, if we owned Haywards birdrights, that would be another story. Even so, he likely gets more that $8m per easily.

I like that move to. I agree if Bradley demands more than 5-6 million a year Boston needs to let him walk. Playing Hayward at SG is also a smart move. But drafting TJ Warren at 17 wouldn't be the smartest move as he is a Score-First player and with Hayward and Love in the lineup Boston would need a guy that knows he will be the 4th scoring option in the starting lineup at the 3. I would say draft Cleanthony Early who is a defensive minded player to play the 3 alongside Rondo, Hayward, Love, and Sanders. If they draft Early they obviously can't take KJ McDaniels too; they could sign Xavier Henry, SF/SG, LA Lakers for about 3 million a year, and still get the same production off the bench that McDaniels would give Boston.

Like I said earlier, Ainge will go over if he wants to win now. And probably won't if he wants to rebuild. But ainge rebuild? unlikely!

1. Boston could sign Hayward for around 7 to 8 million, I just played it safe with the 10 million a year.

2. Okafor for 3 million is playing it safe to, and we don't really need him if we get Sanders. I just was looking for a good bench. We could get Ekpe Udoh for 1 million and still get the same production Emeka Okafor offers.

3. We could let Avery Bradley walk if we get Hayward too. Which saves 4 million.

So let's take away Okafors 3 million, Bradley's 4 million, take 2 million off of Hayward's deal and add Udoh's 1 million dollar deal. That's 8 million saved right there.

4. If Boston re-structures Kevin Love's and Rondo's expiring contracts, Boston could save money there to. By giving Love 18 million a year and Rondo 10 million a year, that's a combined 28 million, instead of the old 29 million combined. That's another million saved.

So take the 9 million that Boston just saved by those four moves off the books. That would take 9 million off of the old 10 million over, and leave Boston only about 1 million over the cap.

I'm just playing it safe with the contracts in the article above.

So it can happen and there is a 68% chance it will happen according to the NBA experts that I sent the article to and whom replied.

1.) We're over the cap with the TE and cap holds of Avery and Kris, you can't just go over to sign an FA. That's not how the NBA cap works, if we owned Haywards birdrights, that would be another story. Even so, he likely gets more that $8m per easily.

3.) We'd have to renounce Avery's rights to just let him walk. Otherwise, any offersheet he signs in restricted free agency will tie up our cap until we decide whether or not to match.

4.) This is the NFL, you cannot restructure an NBA contract.

1. They can't restructure your right my mistake. So add 1 million back to the books. That's still just 2 million over the cap.

2. If Avery Bradley wants more than 6 million a year, boston would quickly decide not to match any offer sheet.

3. Kris Humphries does not have a cap hold. His contract comes off the books this spring. So where he came up I don't know.

4. 2 million over? Every team in the NBA is almost over the cap by more than 2 million. Danny Ainge would quickly pay $1.50 per each dollar over the cap.

5. It can happen and you can't change it. I did my research, plus I've stated before I have checked with NBA experts from ESPN and CBS who said it could work and would be a smart off-season for the Celtics. So if you think you know more than the experts, you can keep pointing out these points that I have the answers for. Experts agree that it would work so that's all that is needed to prove it can work under the NBA rules.

Until Boston renounces the rights to Kris Humphries, or resigns him to a new contract, there will be a cap hold on the Celtics books. This is also true for Jerryd Bayless and Avery Bradley.

It also looks like you are still confusing the salary cap and the luxury tax threshold. Next year, the salary cap is about $63 mil, and the luxury tax threshold is about $77 mil.

There is no penalty for being over the cap; there is for being over the luxury tax threshold.

If you are under the luxury tax threshold, you do not have cap space; you must be under the salary cap to have cap space.
