Marcus Smart's lane agility time of 10.82 is faster than John Wall (10.84), Russell Westbrook (10.98) and Chris Paul (11.09)

Marcus Smart also bench pressed 185 pounds 19 times, tied for 3rd best at the NBA Combine this year. One of best ever among PGs historically

I see everyone talking about Gordon but not many people talking about Smart. Does anyone here not think he can play the 2 beside Rondo? I know he has shortcomings but quickness and strength aren't one of them and he has a warrior mentality. Yes he had a run in with a fan but from what everything I have read he is coachable and a leader and a great defender. I would rather have him at the 2 than Bradley.

Rondo
Smart
Green
Love
Asik or a rim protector.

I think that would be a very competitive team and have a chance to be a playoff team next year and have a chance to really grow and if Rondo isn't going to resign it would be a lot easier to trade him.

I love Smart, I prefer Gordon but smart is second. I think Smart will get to the hole at the NBA level but I'm not sure if his elite strength will allow him to finish against bigger players in the NBA. In college he drew a lot of fouls but I don't think that will happen immediately in the NBA.

I also worry about his shot selection, but his defense is what gets me excited. He creates a ton of turnovers and can really get under people in the wing. I think he could even guard some 3 by using his plus strength and quickness. A 3 guard rotation of Rondo at 100%, Bradley and Smart would be a pain on opposing guards. He could play with either Rondo or Bradley and make sure they are getting high class guard production from both guard spots for the full 48 minutes and lessen both Rondo and Bradley's minutes to help with injury prevention.
DKC:  Rockets

I'd be happy with drafting Smart. I think his game will translate well to the NBA. i think all he needs is some solid coaching.

I love Smart a LOT. I hope we can get him, but with Love in town really is making me all confused. If we get love, do we surrender the 6th pick (I say yes), if we draft Smart will be lose the chance to trade for Love (I also say yes).

How are you going to get Love without giving up the #6 pick to get Smart?
