1. Wiggins to Cleveland
2. Parker to Milwaukee
3. Exum to Philadelphia
4. Smart to Orlando
I think Wiggins goes #1. I expect Milwaukee to go for Parker due to scoring prowess and college performance. I think Philly goes with Exum to pair him together with MCW in the backcourt alongside Noel and Thad Young in the frontcourt.
Orlando more of a toss up but I wouldn't be surprised to see Orlando take Smart over Embiid. (1) Embiid's injury concerns (2) Orlando's need for a new PG (3) they seem to overvalue Vucevic.
No idea what Utah does then at #5. Favors and Kanter already at C. Maybe they try to trade the pick.
So you really think Embiid will fall to the Celtics?
With his back injury + refusal to release medical info?
Yes. Without being cleared by doctors, there is a real chance Embiid is there at Boston's pick.
I can imagine Embiid dodging Cleveland and Milwaukee, but I think he might have to actually shoot himself in the leg to get past Philadelphia. Exum is a huge question mark himself, and the 6ers are probably looking to build around MCW
That is the big selling point for me. I think MCW and Exum would be terrific together.
I believe Exum will end up being a SG anyway. Always a skeptic about big PGs being true PGs especially when like Exum they have been playing in a league with subpar talent and been able to sail by without his PG skills being truly tested. We'll see but I am expecting a ball-handling two guard rather than a PG.
Anyways, either way, good scoring PG or a ball-handling two guard, I think Exum and MCW would be great together. I really like the offensive system Philadelphia was putting in place last year. High pace. Lots of movement in the halfcourt. Multiple ball-handlers / playmakers. Great framework for a two playmaking guard backcourt. So I think having two guards like Exum and MCW would be fantastic in that offense.
The offense. The multi-dimensional games. The size of the guards. I think they are major selling points and would work very well together.
