I don't have a too many problems with this deal if Jayhovaone decides to stick around for a few years. But a lot of GMs (a lot, not all) beat a hasty retreat when they realise they are looking at few years of rebuild/or when they realise they can't realistically compete for the top prize...
This is what's keeping me up at work.
2) The new GM wanted to be taken advantage of, there is no reason to suspect collusion or anything of the sort.
For clarity's sake, while every manager is free to vote their own conscious. Collusion has never been the codified standard and it wasn't the reason for our first veto. Nobody is suggesting anything untoward has happened.
I think you guys are making a lot of assumptions about eja (and jay) without hearing the entire story. Unless we hear otherwise, this was just two bored GMs hammering out a preseason trade.
I think in fact, Champ's version of events is 100% correct.
6) the fact that jay hasn't shown up to defend his trade is alarming
This is why I'm leaning towards calling for an up and down vote. I'm hoping we'll hear from Jay once he's off work though? I wish I could give him more time, but we're working with a narrow window.
I would think it would still be a 24 hour thing though, meaning 24 hours from when it was posted originally. Since that was voted down. Right?
I'll defer to GC, but I'd encourage you not to get technical, because in that case, you'll need your trade for Toine's Boys 2015 2nd to pass its one day review starting tomorrow I believe - the first day 2015 picks can be traded? - since it's included in the Anthony Davis trade.
What do you think of JGod's suggestion?
