Triboy, you can't honestly say Gordon is a better prospect than Parker. You are listing all these flaws with these other players but disregard the HUGE flaws that Gordon has. He is a tweener, that can't be fixed. He can't shoot, that can be fixed but he's really bad. You're making it sound like its a forgone conclusion that Gordon WILL improve his shooting by the time the individual workout comes around.

It's much easier for Parker to get into shape and fix his body than it will be for Gordon to fix his horrible shooting.

Still don't get your infatuation for Gordon. He will be nothing more than a role player. Don't want us to waste a lotto pick on that. We need a star. Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, and even Exum, Smart, Randle, and Vonleh might be one. Don't see that at all with Gordon.

I actually believe that Gordon can be a special player. He's 18 he has plenty of time to fix his shooting. I think he could be better than guys like Vonleh.

I don't see it. 5 years from now if he's lighting up the league, I'll eat my words and feel really stupid. But right now I don't see it in him.

He has the physical tools and the work ethic. It'll take a few years, but I think he'll be really good.

Define good. Like all-star good or like Tony Allen, Kirilenko, Sefolosha good.

I'd say Gerald Wallace or Marion good.

Agree with all said above.

Gordon has like half the potential Parker has. Parker could end up like Melo, who is surely a hall of fame player. Gordon could be the next AK47, just without a jumper. No way does any GM pick Gordon over Parker

Still I feel that people are too hard on Gordon, I'd say give him a chance if Danny drafts him.

No doubt. He has tons of talent.

That's not really what people are saying, though. They're reacting to this weird notion that Gordon is somehow beyond criticism, while other prospects, who will most like be drafted ahead of him, are not.

Well it's only one person who's saying that. Besides there are some people here who are suggesting that he  is nothing more than a role player, which I disagree with.

I think I agree with the idea that his absolute ceiling is around Gerald Wallace + Shawn Marion, which is, ultimately, a role player -- at least to me.

That said, I'd definitely take him over Vonleh, too.

The ability to guard the best player on a team be it a 2 to a 4 especially against your Lebron's and Durant's would make an in his prime on a good team Gerald Wallace more than a role player in terms of importance. Have him face guarding people and off the ball like Rodman. I hope he'll be willing to do that so the free throws don't become an issue. I'd take a ball handling defensive and physical freak any day of the week at 6 or 7. I think it's irresponsible to take a risk on a 6-4 point guard from Australia over a lockdown, shutdown defender. Defensive will never let you down. No one guy can make this team a contender, not even best case scenario Embiid, who I am hoping for.

You mean a 6'6" point guard, with a 6'9" with extreme agility and explosiveness. Exum actually has an offensive game, and has the versatility and size to defend both guard spots. No way will Exum be there at 6, so I'm not sure why you brought him up.

Gordon has extreme agility and explosiveness. I like Exum, but he needs to continue to work on his jumpshot. Also he's an unknown considering he played in Australia.
