I actually believe that Gordon can be a special player. He's 18 he has plenty of time to fix his shooting. I think he could be better than guys like Vonleh.

I don't see it. 5 years from now if he's lighting up the league, I'll eat my words and feel really stupid. But right now I don't see it in him.

Gordon has like half the potential Parker has. Parker could end up like Melo, who is surely a hall of fame player. Gordon could be the next AK47, just without a jumper. No way does any GM pick Gordon over Parker

That's not really what people are saying, though. They're reacting to this weird notion that Gordon is somehow beyond criticism, while other prospects, who will most like be drafted ahead of him, are not.

Well it's only one person who's saying that. Besides there are some people here who are suggesting that he  is nothing more than a role player, which I disagree with.

I think I agree with the idea that his absolute ceiling is around Gerald Wallace + Shawn Marion, which is, ultimately, a role player -- at least to me.

That said, I'd definitely take him over Vonleh, too.

Have him face guarding people and off the ball like Rodman. I hope he'll be willing to do that so the free throws don't become an issue. I'd take a ball handling defensive and physical freak any day of the week at 6 or 7. I think it's irresponsible to take a risk on a 6-4 point guard from Australia over a lockdown, shutdown defender. Defensive will never let you down. No one guy can make this team a contender, not even best case scenario Embiid, who I am hoping for.

You mean a 6'6" point guard, with a 6'9" with extreme agility and explosiveness. Exum actually has an offensive game, and has the versatility and size to defend both guard spots. No way will Exum be there at 6, so I'm not sure why you brought him up.

Gordon has extreme agility and explosiveness. I like Exum, but he needs to continue to work on his jumpshot. Also he's an unknown considering he played in Australia.
