LaVine can be an interesting option if he slides to 17. But he helped himself a lot with his measurements.

Lavine would be a great recruit if the Celtics had a high jump squad. Seeing as it's a basketball team, though, let's pass.

Randle skipped a potential 2nd workout w/ Celtics today for this -> MT @J30_RANDLE: Meeting with @GQMagazine today to discuss style

Ugh, this is what's wrong the league now. There's a sense of entitlement and a lot of these players coming in feel like they don't have to work. Why skip a potential job that you've dreamed about to talk about .....fashion

Dude's obviously got a promise either at 4 or 5, or the Lakers.  No one in this entire draft could fault a player for wanting to play for the Celtics or Lakers.

My Gut says he wants to go to the lakers. Boston barring a trade has two PF already, with the Lakers he steps into a starting role.

In the few interviews I've seen of Aaron Gordon, all he seems to be interested in is basketball, working out, and getting better.  He's also very honest about his weakness and how he's working to improve them.  I like that.  It makes me think he has his head on straight and has the ability to get better.  Seeing Randle skip a workout to talk about style is troubling.

So I suppose we can cross Randle off the list of potential draftees. His skill set was redundant due to Sully, anyway.

That's how I see. Regardless of a "promise" things can change draft night and you want to at least say that you've done all you could do to show your potential to other teams. Talking fashion should be the last thing on a players mind entering the draft.

Eh, this is no big deal to me.  It's an interview process, yes, but the interview goes both ways.  Julius Randle is not a good fit on the Celtics, and this is no secret to anyone, least of all Randle.  He's not coming here, and he doesn't want to come here.  It's much better for his career if he winds up in LA than Boston, or in Philly than Boston.  So what if he makes an extra $25k for a GQ feature right now?

I know I've turned down a second interview for a job because it didn't feel like a good fit for me.  I don't see this as much different.  He knows he's getting a job, and he'd rather it be in a situation that he likes, since he can't exactly choose.

My guess is that he got a promise in the top five.

It seems like Smart is the same way.  I see Gordon or Smart as the pick if it's kept.  Ainge loves these types of bball junkies.

Hope so, as it would increase odds Embiid slides to 6.

I just hear the voice of Kenny Powers: "I play real sports. Not trying to be the best at exercising."

added list of second workout participants, I also read Cs trying to trade with Bucks or 76ers to get into 2nd round. I expect that Johnson is the target.
