I can't believe Doug McD's vertical.   I was ready to guess 2 sheets of paper.

Vonleh's definitely helped himself. As have LaVine and Exum and probably Gordon and Smart, too.

You mean to tell me Doug McBuckets didn't test at vertical?  Big surprise there, I was ready to guess 2 sheets of paper.

McDermott hit 36.5 inches.  Solid.  Same max reach as T.J. Warren and James Young, (11' 7.5") despite having an inch shorter standing reach than both.

Why would McDermott do the athletic testing but not the drills? He is great at drills and i'm sure he won't be great when athletically tested.

Well, actually, his measurements aren't that bad.

His Max Vert Reach (far more important than 'Max Vertical Leap') came out as 11' 7.5", same as the slightly taller  T. J. Warren.

Not up their with the 'Big Boys of Vertical Reach', though:

Vonleh:  12' 1"
Gordon:  12' 0"
Thanasis Antekokounmpo:  12' 0"  (Yes, this is Gianni' brother.  He's been playing in the D-League.)

Those were the only guys in this draft to break 12'.

Randle, for those who are wondering, did 'okay' at 11' 9".

The guy who did the best at trying to jump over his own head, Markel Brown (6' 2.5" w/o shoes) managed to touch the board at 11' 11.5".  Wow.

In the 'Agility' drill, McDermott scored 11.10, again, identical to Warren and not far off the pace of the more athletic guys like:

Zach Levine:  10.42
Dante Exum:  10.75
Jordan Clarkson:  10.76
Aaron Craft:   10.78
Nick Stauskas:  10.79
Nick Johnson:  10.79
Aaron Gordon: 10.80
Marcus Smart:  10.81

Notable names further down behind McDermott & Warren' 11.10:

P.J. Hairston:  11.12
Tyler Ennis:  11.12
Cleanthony Early:  11.15
...
Rodney Hood:  11.21
...
Julius Randle:  11.45
Noah Vonleh:  11.45

In the Sprint, McDermott again came out, "OK", with a 3.29, which is pretty much in the middle of the pack (16 guys all timed out between 2.27-3.32).  Other names around him in that bunch are Hairston, Ennis, Vonleh, Stauskus, Randle & Gordon (though the last three were all on the 3.27 end of that group).

Notably fast performers in the sprint were

K.J. McDaniels:  3.10
Melvin Ejim:  3.14
Glenn Robinson:  3.15
Deandre Kane:  3.16
Cleanthony Early:  3.18
T. Antetokounmpo:  3.18
Markel Brown:    3.18
Dante Exum:   3.19
Zach Lavine:  3.19
Shabazz Napier:  3.20

It's interesting to note that a few of the guys who did great on the sprint did not do so great on the agility test:  Napier, Thanassis, Brown, McDaniels -- all posted relatively poor agility times.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Older brother though, so doesn't have nearly the upside. He'll be 22 in a couple of months.

Did anyone mention Cleanthony Early's 11'9.5" on the maximum height test with a vert. of 40".  That's the same as super athlete Zach Lavine.

Cleanthony Early could be a real steal in this draft.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He may be able to play the 3 is what I was thinking after seeing his test results.   Right now I am liking Vonleh and Glen Robinson looked great too as a second pick in the first . Patric Young helped his stock as well.

Aaron Gordon aced the shuttle run in 2.76 seconds:

But mental agility, maybe not so much, at 22 seconds to determine the number of pennies in a million dollars:

It's good too see Gordon was interviewed. I'm pretty sure he was impressive. Smart kid. I can care less if he took 22 sec to answer the pennies in a million dollar question.

Danny and Stevens i'm sure watched the tourney and saw his impact.

Danny Ainge
It?s hard to find those guys that care and do anything it takes to win. I just prefer those.

He was talking about Marcus Smart when saying this. But this statement can also apply to Aaron Gordon imo.

Danny has always liked tough players that were one of the best players on their team, leaders of their team.

He was talking about Smart yeah, he is a killer like Gordon.
Unfortunately for you triboy, it's extremely doubtful that we are looking at Gordon.
Kid's great and if we had the 11 or 12th pick I'd be open to giving up Olynyk to get him, but he just doesn't fall in our pick range (unless we trade down).
I didn't see him on yesterday's Ainge interview list and he's probably not going top 6.

The top 3 picks are a given- if we get one of those we'll take one of the consensus three.

4th pick? I think it's between Vonleh and Exum now after Vonleh's numbers.
5th pick? Vonleh or Smart.

Other than the consensus three, I think we're going to see either Exum, Vonleh or Smart as Celtics.
It's possible we take Randle and trade him down to a team that loves him too.

Does anyone else see Olynyk being used as a trade chip on draft night ?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

But did you see his performance in the shooting drills?  This is not Jr. High gym class. It is professional basketball and these guys who test off the charts with poor skills are going to get a few coaches and GMs fired.

your wrong chambers. Gordon was interviewed

http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4712881/draft-hopefuls-give-glimpse-of-cs-interviews

Looks like it was pretty in depth.

Both Danny and Stevens saw what he did in the U19 (mvp) and carrying his team to the elite 8. Unless they are turned off by his incapability to make the jump shot or have guys like Smart  ahead, imo he is goin to be considered.  He should be considered.

Gordon is not the 11th best prospect in this draft. No way.  You can pintpoint all the issues he has, but he is a winner and is someone you can build a team around.

Totally agree with you on this triboy.  Vonleh is gonna be a bust and is not worth a top 5.  Smart is a guard, of which, we have enough of.  We need a go to wing with some grit.  Gordon fits the bill for us.
