I'm a die hard fan. But you have to give LeBron his due. He is better than Jordan. He is bigger, stronger, quicker to the hole. If you considered Jordan the GOAT then you now have to acknowledge that LeBron is. I didn't care that the C's rebuilded in part because no one is knocking off the Heat anytime soon. LeBron is doing this all by himself. He has a broken down Wade next to him also Bosh Chalmers and Ray but that's really about it. Those 90's Bulls teams were amazing teams but LeBron might be the best to ever play and it pains me to say that.

lebron SF 6'8
jordan SG 6'6

compare lebron to pippen if he can beat those guys in there prime even t-mac

pierce can't guard lebron anymore and it makes hard for him to score, i wish kg can slide to PF or ak47, 2 bigs inside, so bosh will be hitting more 3's
this is where big center who are 3 point shooters, a guy like hibbert or lopez or those slow bigman have no match chasing those 3's

Um, no.  just no.

Jordan won with less talent on his team.  he didn't need to collude with 2 other all-stars to play together to rig the odds in his favor.  I'll be the first to say he's not the GOAT and he won titles in a less-talented time in the NBA but I'd take Jordan over Lebron without a second thought.

Lebron's "greatness" has a lot to do with the officiating favoritism he enjoys.  he plows through people, slaps on D, travels/palms the ball and fouls 5 times more than he's called for.  He's still the best player in the game but he's enjoyed the benefits of the 'Jordan' rules far more than anyone before him including the 2 biggest beneficiaries, Jordan and Shaq.

Lebron is better than Jordan.  It's time people start giving him his dues.  He's one of a kind.

Jordan played with multiple all stars and a top 50 player in league history.  So you are saying we should credit him for the good fortune of being drafted to a team that didn't have terrible management and ownership and hold that against James.  Jordan didn't win a single playoff series until he had Pippen.  Pippen who was a top 5 draft pick mind you.

Magic Johnson said that he would have returned to Michigan State if the Lakers didn't win the coin flip as he didn't want to go to Chicago.  Why not give him crap for that?

Quote
"I'd have stayed in school," he said here Tuesday, standing alone outside Gate 3 1/2 of Chicago Stadium, the house that could have been his. "A coin toss changed the course of my whole life."

Quote
"I wouldn't have played here," Johnson said on the eve of Game 2 of the NBA finals between his team and the team that could have been his. "The only reason I came out was to play with Kareem and the Lakers.

Kobe Bryant refused to play for Charlotte forcing a trade to the Lakers, why not give him crap for that?

But it is only Lebron James he gets crap for wanting to play with quality teammates.  Had Cleveland actually had decent management, James never would have left and would have won multiple titles in Cleveland.  He is quite simply just that good.  Cleveland just could never appropriately build a team around him (imagine if they would have kept Boozer, things might have been different).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Are you joking?

LeBron's bigger and stronger, for sure, but he's still no Jordan.

really, you don't think Wade and Bosh are better than Pippen and Grant/Rodman?  I certainly do.  I also consider the bench brigade for Miami to be much better than the bench brigade for the Bulls too.

I have no issue with giving crap to Magic or Kobe but they weren't part of the discussion.  Magic played with a stacked deck in LA with all those players who were also top picks.  Kobe's prima donna jerk.  anyone else you feel like dragging into the discussion to make some arbitrary point about your idol Lebron?

By the way, Pippen may have been the #5 pick but you could have swapped him out for a few other players in that same draft that probably would have won a title with Jordan as easily as Pippen -- Reggie Miller, Reggie Lewis, Mark Jackson and Kevin Johnson.  I know I'm in the minority on this but Pippen would not make my all-time top 50 players in the NBA.  Take Pippen off the Bulls and I seriously doubt he's even in the discussion.  his shooting deficiencies would have been more exposed.

Are we just pretending that we don't have evidence of Pippin as A)the best player on a team and B)not on the Bulls?

Probably should've won a ring with that '99-00 Blazers squad.

This year, Lebron has less talent around him if you're really watching the games. Wade and Bosh show up every other game, Battier shows up every three games. Pippen , Rodman, Kukoc and the crew in 96-98 were definitely better than Miami's supporting cast this year. That Bulls supporting cast suffocated opponents EVERY GAME. So if Lebron wins it again, this "Jordan had less talent" argument goes out the window. And let's not act like Jordan did not have officiating favoritism. Time to remove our Green Glasses.
