If you toss out Bradley's rookie season, Bradley has missed about the same percentage of games in his career as Jared Sullinger has.

Tossing out Bradley's rookie season, he's missed 61 games.

Including Sullinger's rookie season, he's missed 42 games.

See that? It's two different ways of delivering the same data.

Haven't seen that much basketball, but the Bradley I saw a week or so ago hardly looked like the 'can't dribble or pass to save his life, compulsive chucker' I've seen described by his critics all season. Ibm not saying he shot like Ray Allen and passed like Rondo but the hyperbole here is distressing. In any case its not been confirmed by anyone that the offer he turned down earlier was turned down based on quantity of money. Maybe there was partial guarantees he didn't like maybe its a minor issues like should the last year of the dark be a team or player option. Who knows, they might have got to a  point where they are waiting for free agency to open up again to close out the deal

I think the biggest and most clear sign that Bradley will stay is that he wasn't traded at the deadline. Nobody in the league wants a bidding war on an restricted free agent. Absolutely no one. And since Danny didn't extend him, and didn't trade him, logically Id say it shows he thinks he can resign him at a reasonable number.

I can't see paying Bradley more than $5-6M/yr. He's undersized, injury prone and average on offense. In the NBA that is a role player. I'd give him $16M/3yrs with a team option on the last year. He can move for a player option on the last year and that will be that. Paying a guy $7-8M/yr for multiple years is problematic because you tie up a large difficult to trade sum of cash. See Gerald Wallace. Take a look at the salaries below. Don't you feel like AB belongs in the 5-6M range?

DeMar DeRozan $9,500,000
Marcus Thornton $8,050,000 [OVERPAID]
O.J. Mayo $8,000,000 [OVERPAID]
Manu Ginobili $7,500,000
Arron Afflalo $7,362,500 [UNDERPAID]
J.J. Redick $6,500,000
Kevin Martin $6,500,000
Jason Richardson $6,204,250 [OVERPAID]
Gerald Henderson $6,000,000
Wesley Matthews $5,737,480 [UNDERPAID]
J.R. Smith $5,565,000 [OVERPAID]
Jason Terry $5,225,000
Jamal Crawford $5,225,000
Louis Williams $5,225,000
Courtney Lee $5,225,000
Victor Oladipo $4,763,760 [ROOKIE]
Tony Allen $4,494,383

That may mean he is just here for 1 more season then he becomes a UFA.

Except how many of these deals were before the new tax?  Or before the teams realized how close they were getting to it?

I think many of these contracts will be consider "overpaying" from now on for role players.  Cap space will be reserved to pay the stars.  The rest, fitting a slot under the tax cap.

I say let Bradley walk.

Or better yet, try to include him in a deal for Afflalo

Or let him walk and draft Marcus Smart.

Or he'll play out the QO if things break down entirely.

I would take any one of those guys over Bradley. Therefor I dont think he deserves anything above Tony Allen money. I offer him a 3 year 12 mil deal. If he says no to that I have no problem letting him walk.

Ideally, this is a best case scenario. If Orlando values Bradley (which I don't know why they would) and we can package him with a future first for Aflallo, that is a huge gain for us.

You'd take Jason Terry back?  You like JR Smith?

I think the only guy I would definitely take back in a trade for Bradley would be Matthews, age being the only reason to not want Ginobili.

Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that Avery Bradley's injury history is "a concern," but the team is still "big fans of Avery's."

I feel like Bradley's value has dropped a lot from where he was earlier in the season. He just can't stay healthy and he has the stink of playing for a lottery team.

I tend to agree with you.  I would note, however, that Tony Allen is slated to make $15.5 million over the final three years of his deal, something that most people ignore when they throw out his current year salary as a potential comp for Bradley.
