1)if we draft either wiggins or parker , do you trade Jeff Green?
IMHO, if we get Parker, yes. I think Parker slots into that spot, can probably start right away and we are stuck with GW for at least one more year, while Green is tradable.
If we get Wiggins, no (instead we let go of or trade Bradley). Wiggins can slot into the SG role between Rondo & Green and that should work really well together since neither Green nor Wiggins needs to have the ball in their hands much and can space the floor for each other.
Of the two scenarios, I think the former might mean one more year of tanking - err, development - while the latter might actually result in a pretty competitive lineup, depending on what happens up front.
2) another team offer AB 5 years at 7 million a year. Do you match it?
I think it depends on question (1). 7M is in that grey area of yes/no/maybe/depends on what else is going on.
3) sac offers their 2014 7-9 1st pick and Jason Thompson for Rondo. Do you make the trade?
No.
Rondo has not given indication of 100 percent he is going to resign long term with the team.
Why on earth would you ever expect an athlete to give '100 percent' indication of what he'll do in a contract decision much later down the road, when negotiations still have to happen? Same on the other side: I don't understand why people think Danny should give '100 percent' indication that he absolutely intends to keep Rondo.
That's just not how negotiations work. The lack of either side saying anything 100% committal means nothing positive or negative. In fact, one side doing that can sometimes kill negotiations because throwing away leverage can inadvertently lead to unreasonable offers from the other side.
All we can say at this time is that we have no more reason to believe Rondo will go than that he will stay.
