There was a long stretch where those two guys never played well at the same time.  That's changed.  They've had a handful of games where they have both played pretty well.

Rondo's only had a dozen or so games when he's been playing relatively well. There hasn't been time for long stretches of anything.
Jeff Green was on the Celtics last year too.  Remember that?  They played close to 40 games together.

I remember that, do you? Green was coming back from a year off and heart surgery. He started off playing poorly and his play improved as the year progressed. The improvement started well before Rondo's injury.
He improved when Rondo sat, because his role changed.  It was an immediate improvement, because suddenly Green had the ball.  The heart surgery didn't really have anything to do with it.  They struggled to co-exist until recently.  Good news, they are finally finding a way to play well at the same time.

He really didn't have the ball much more at all LarBrd. His usage ticked up from a 21 to a whopping 23!

He did play nearly 10 MPG more and also eventually started at forward. But whether or not that caused his improvement or was because of his improvement is up to how you want to frame it.

Not really. His TS% was around 50% in Nov/Dec, 59% in Jan and 59% after the all-star break. his usage was about the same in November and December as it was after Rondo's injury. The reason you saw an immediate change after Rondo went out the lineup was the increase in his minutes, which was due to Sully having a season ending injury a game after Rondo did.

Its all smoke and mirrors.  This guy gives you the OOOO's and AHHHH's every now and then the in between is CRAP!!  Look at his game logs.  There is only one thing Jeff Green has proved to anybody in his stinking career you cannot count on him everyday.  We do not need that.  I would take a guy with 3/4 of his talent that is consistent over him any day of the week.

Danny please trade this guy in the offseason PLEASE!!
