In terms of SG's int he league, where do you rank Avery?

I can say I rank him ahead of Iman Shumpert, Gerald Henderson, OJ Mayo and Dion Waiters.

I'm not convinced that young guys like Tony Wroten and Ben McLemore will ever be better than Bradley.
Man I'd like to see Henderson on this team.

Why do you want Henderson?  He has a 12.9 Efficiency Rating this year.

He's improved his shooting a bit, but I think he's a long-term role player.  We should be able to replace him.
Yup.

I think he'd be a good fit and can be had realistically.  Save our beans for love.  I feel Henderson on a different team/system would be a much improved player.  Looks like Stevens is going to be putting in a ball movement everyone shoots but moves ball for best shot.  We need better floor spacers.

The good news is that Avery probably won't be commanding the ridiculous salary that was being projected earlier.  $4 to $5 million a year seems like a realistic number.  I would be happy to see him resigned at that price.

The genius of Ainge and/or the fantastic FO of the Celtics.

Not rushing to make a move when we have so many trade chips has worked out pretty well. Why rush to overpay for Asik? Look where overpaying got Detroit.

Now Rondo has shown a lot. And AB is now injured and it is now virtually impossible he'd get a lot.

That said, I don't believe AB was ever gonna get the 8 mil he wanted anyway from what I've read on the current CBA.

Avery doesn't remember what his role is. He doesn't move the ball, he can't pass or dribble, and he can't make layups. I really hate his game. I loved him when he was a Lindsay Hunter type, hounding guys full court. He doesn't do that anymore so i don't see the need for him to stick around, despite his age. I wouldn't offer him anything more than 3 mil a year.

I'd love to have him back for a fair price (Somewhere between 4 million). We cant afford to overpay him, but luckily he is restricted. I still think that he is an elite defender, but he needs to polish his offensive game.

Very replaceable, and yet another example of how this board wildly overrates Ainge's draft picks.

I'm going to say it now.  Jodie Meeks may have scored 42 points against the Thunder today, but I'd still rather have Avery Bradley next season.

I dare someone to disagree.

I miss old AB...He used to be almost 100% lockdown D now he's just a good defender and has started to devote some time to his average offensive abilities.

In a year that's about player development, shouldn't he be devoting some time to trying to improve his offense?

There is a lot of things the Celtic's should be doing if this year was about player development. For instance, why isn't KO starting yet? We don't need KO at 18 minutes played and Bass in the mid 20's.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

agree he's replaceable (a real rarity that I ever agree with you) but don't agree with Ainge being overrated in the draft.  getting a good rotation-quality guard that's capable of playing top-level D with the 19th pick in the draft is a pretty solid draft pick

I want him back.  I am concerned about his injury history but the kid is a good ballplayer and still getting better.  One thing I absolutely love about AB is his toughness.  I wish he was 3-4 inches taller, though.
