yes. The sooner the better, but i can also understand that Danny has to get the best value in return. I'm willing to wait until next years trade deadline

Rondo is not a Lebron, Durant, Shaq, Dirk etc. You can't build a team around him and suddenly be a playoff contender.  Yet Rondo wants to get paid like these players

i would like the celts to get good the way OKC, Pacers have and that is through the draft and adding excellent role players moving fwd (and we have that opportunity with lots of picks plus 2 strong up coming drafts). Having Rondo/Green doesn't help with the rebuild

If we have three 1st picks in this upcoming draft, and lets say we draft Embiid, Ennis and Warren. That is one of heck of a lineup to look fwd to in a few years. But you can't get these picks by having a mediocre team that has no chance of winning but also is not bad enough to draft high

I don't want to tank on the court but danny can help the tank with the roster design.

It'd be interesting to have a public poll.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Why would he waste his time on that? LOL

Anyways, I voted yes, depending on the offer. Like most people. I just want what's best for the team, and if that means trading Rondo, I'm all for it. Would be sad to see him go, though.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

No.

Why would I do that.  It ruins my mystique if I'm not the voice of the minority.

17 very smart people voted to not be a treadmill team. Although I don't know if I would do this Rockets deal.

I agree.  Nothing I'm hearing really interests me... I like Ben Mclemore and would be interested in a deal that includes him and a solid lotto pick, but I don't think the kings have expiring contracts and I wouldn't want Isiah Thomas here.

We haven't really heard anything that makes a lot of sense for Boston.   But I do think that trade is out there and we'll probably hear more tomorrow afternoon.

Honestly though.. what I think Ainge will take for ROndo and what I want Ainge to get for Rondo are two very different things.  I think he'll take expiring contracts and middling picks.  I WANT him to get a superstar prospect and boatloads of top 5 picks.  I'm sure Ainge will do the right thing here, though.

I love Rondo, don't want to see him go anywhere .

Only way I could see us trading him is if we land a top 3 pick with our own pick so we would have a franchise player to build around. Then I could see Danny trading Rondo for a top 5-8 pick and a few other young pieces because they would fit better age wise for when our core of Sully ,Bradley? and top 3 pick would be ready to contend .

Could have something like

PG: Smart or Ennis
SG: Bradley?
SF: Wiggins or Parker
PF: Sully
 C: ?

but if they don't land a top 3 pick I think they are definitely going to be trading to build around Rondo, which I would have no problem with either .

Not giving rondo away for young role players and low picks like Houston is offering .

Rondo needs to get a triple double tonight to make Danny's phone explode from after the game to tomorrow 3 pm

Yeah, if SAC could actually trade their pick this year and attach it to McLemore, then that's the start of something. But they can't.

Agree on IT too. Don't want to have to pay a Nate Robinson clone this summer when his contract expires. Would be a bad idea.

From what I'm reading out there currently for rumors?  No.

He's a core guy that you can build with.  There's plenty debate whether he's a #1 guy, a #2 guy or worse (personally, I think a #2 guy).  His skill set is fairly unique and I think you work to find complementary pieces to mesh with him.  Build a strong core.

He's not off limits to me but I'm not moving him unless a very stong building building block is coming back.  None of these proposed trades do it for me.

Keeping Rondo, if the C's can somehow finagle a top 3 guy in this draft while keeping this asset bundle they've acquired in place, then I think they'll be well on their way back.

You sure as heck don't move him for the sake of just moving him.

This is how I feel. I voted no because I'm basically in agreement with the points above, not to mention these "proposed offers" have been a joke and I don't think DA is going to get better offers. Seriously Morey won't even think of including Parsons? That's a joke the Rockets are the ones who want him, you have to give to get

I'd also say that if Houston backs off their insistence on keeping Parsons, we could have a deal with them that makes sense.

I like Parsons a lot but he's likely getting paid this summer as well.
