Lol this is a mess.  They seem very confused.

John wall is the most athletic PG in the league

I'd rank him right behind CP3, healthy Rose, Curry, Lillard. The strides he's been taking is awesome. Love John Wall and would love for this guy to some how run the point for the Celtics.

If we're talking about best PG, I would rank it CP3, Parker, Curry, healthy Rose, then Westbrook, Lillard, Irving, and Wall is a toss up for 5th. But Wall is the most athletic, that's what I was trying to get at.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

I must have missed the part about three winners somewhere in Ernie Johnson's powerpoint presentation at the beginning.

@GwashburnGlobe

Capping a putrid night, with about 90% of the crowd gone, the NBA decides to drop mini parachutes with gifts among empty seats. Brilliant!

They need to change the dunk contest

limit to 5 contestants. 2 chances to make the dunk. 3 is just too many and the wow factor goes down the toilet

You can implement different criterias. First or introduction dunk = on your own, then for the second dunk you need a second person help you complete the dunk. Last dunk = on your own

Also they need to get new commentators. So annoying to hear those idiots ramble about nonsense

I want one on one matchups

I don't care if the stars don't participate

Let the rookies take on each other if you have to

Anything would be better than this ....

I personally would love to see a 1 on 1 contest or maybe 2 on 2.  Maybe break it down by bigs, wings, and guards.  Anyone with me?

If they can just focus on getting the names, and I think, limiting misses.  You can't miss more than once.

If the contest hadn't just ended and we got to see George vs Wall... we could be talking differently.  Both killed their last dunks.

The old format wasn't good... but they didn't need to do this.  It only needed tweaking.

I recorder AS Saturday as I wasn't home earlier and am now watching it. Up to the dunk contest. Is there really no individual winner?

A few issues with the skills day of AS festivities;

Skills challenge - straight runs, simple passes... where's the skill test?

Shooting challenge - this is almost 100% of the time reliant on the half court shot. Waste of an event.

3 pt shootout - I don't like the money rack. Bit of personal choice though and it does throw something different into the comp. Not totally against it.

Rookie challenge - this is a team based game, it has to be East vs West or rookie vs sophomore. Rookie vs sophomore is a little unbalanced though due to BA experience. I like both CWebb and Grant. How do I choose who to go for?

Slam dunk - I can't believe there's no individual champion. And the format is terrible.

imo, AS game, and rookie game should be East vs West and everything else should be individual based (skills, 3 pt, dunk)... celebrity game I'd be happy to see 2 captains selecting teams. I don't care much for the celebrity game though because most are either small time celebrities (at least here in Australia) or celebrities I don't like (Bieber)

The worst dunk contest I've ever seen. That was absolutely terrible.

And the only contest they shouldn't have changed (the 3pt contest) was changed to the dumb moneyball rack. Now you cant compare these performances to past ones easily.

Props to John Wall for doing something I hadn't seen before.  That dunk headlines a very short list of things worth seeing last night.
