Is it just me or is this free flow offense with very little emphasis on set plays and lots of emphasis on ball movement and individual shot creation just not the best style for Rajon Rondo's skill set?

I sense this as well.

Yeah, he's better in 1/4 type offense where the ball is predominately in his hands and he's setting up teammates.

KO brings the ball down after the catch. Keep it high!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Gotta revisit Nickagenta's comment because he's right.  KO's defense this game has been atrocious, worse than normal.  Torched by Diaw all night then doesn't pick up Bonner?  Seriously KO.

Oddly enough, because they both are so unorthodox, they do it to a lot of big men.

True

If he can shoot like he has over the past 4 games, it will fit him fine.  But traditionally, it seemed the best way to make up for his lack of shooting was to surround him with guys who could hit open shots.  He's always been good at attacking the basket and finding open guys on kick-outs.  The ball has to be in his hand, though, because defenses traditionally don't respect Rondo's shooting ability.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

So Rondo can't shoot?
The 3 point shot looks better, even if it is a small sample size. Now for the free throws.

sweet. Nice defensive play at the end of the game also.

Celts have to lob to olynyk and forget it. The guy can catch balls well out of his area. Great hands

I gotta wonder if you guys really even watch the game.  Why didn't he pick up Bonner?  Because he was under the basket on the other end setting a screen for Bayless to get an easy lay up.  Bass has to pick up Bonnner because KO was busting up the other end to get someone else an easy basket while Bonner was cherry picking at the other end.

poor defensive effort by Rondo again tonight.  In two weeks, there are no more excuses

When pressey and bayless were in the game, their pgs had a tough time getting settled in the half court

Guess I missed the front end of that play, my computer sits away from my TV.  But of course I watch the games, I don't come to a game thread just for the hell of it.

I bet he will come next season with a much better body. Something in the shape of Humphries . Sullinger also needs to get into shape

Yes. 50%.

But he went 1-4 in one of his first games back. Hit both his free throws in subsequent games.
