to replace Bradley who is looking for a multi year contract over 7mil a year... Waiters still on his rookie deal and has better potential than Bradley despite some attitude issues I think Brad can turn these around because Mike Brown is the biggest pushover in the league..

Offer a contract (even Bradley's) plus a protected 1st...

I've been a fan of keeping Bradley, but I realize Bradley isn't worth any more than 6-7 mil. Plus Waiters can and will be the better player in the future. Its amazing to see how much of an impact Waiters can play especially when you factor in the fact Waiters came off the bench, and played zone defense but was somehow a lottery pick.

I think Rondo can make Waiters look extremely good, plus Waiters is also a great passer. Something Bradley is, and never will be.

With 6'4, Waiters at least gives us a slightly better height advantage over Bradley who is 6'2.

Waiters does make sense, but he definitely will not come that cheaply IMO.

People keep throwing that 6-7 million figure for Bradley. I don't see it, not with his up and down level of play and injuries.

In regards to his demands or, ultimately, what he will be paid?

What do you think the price will be for Waiters? I'm honestly curious.

I think that Bradley plus a first round pick (obviously, not the Celtics' 2014 first) is a pretty decent offer, compared to what other teams are likely to put on the table.

Waiters .....

Is the superior player at most aspects of basketball....other than AB s insane lockdown.D.  And the gap will widen in a couple years.....he has better ceiling.

Physically he is stronger, taller, NBA size guard body .   d Wade ish

Waiters can PASS and FINISH.  the fast break...two things  AB is woefully  weak at..you'd think he'd be better by now playing with Rondo  ???

Avery is great kid,  good attitude ,   Super D ,   But not worth but about 1/2 what he believes he can get.

Waiters is being held back in Cleveland .

I'd take him over AB anyday  if we can get him

Rondo and Waiters would give us a very nice starting tandom at Guard....... With Pressey and CJ doing the second team deal .

I have not seen Waiters much but it appears that posters here think highly of him...I have not seen anything negative yet with regard to his play...Any naysayers out there??

No one is throwing this around... this is what DA offered and Bradley turned it down.. again it only takes one team to outrgeously pay him..

The .410 from the field appears decidedly non "D-Wadish".

You got to give him a break there... he is less than a year and a half in the league

The source of the report on that extension he turned down? I'm betting it was his agent because that same report was also putting his price tag at 8 million.

I'm not convinced it was ever a real offer for dollars that large. Even if it was remember it was a 3 year deal with a team option.

So that means with standard 8% raises the offer was (figures are rough):

5.3
5.724
6.148
6.572 (team option)

So the actual value of the offer to Bradley was under 6 per year. Put people keep bumping it up to 6-7 or 8 taking the report as a fact.
