Bogans and Clippers 2015 1st for Waiters?
not near enough for Cleveland.  They aren't giving away the 4th pick in a recent draft.  They would move him, but it would require some real value going back to them.

Wasn't Thomas Robinson a top 5 or so pick? How much did he net in a trade?

Which trade?  :)  Using Sacramento as an example of realistic trades can be misleading, though.

Waiters is a knucklehead and isn't worth the headache.  His skill-to-maturity ratio is too low right now to give up anything more than a lottery-protected pick.

Here's a good read on his antics over the last year and a half:

I just don't see the hype with Waiters.  If we can get him for peanuts (ex. an expiring and couple of 2nds) sure, but anything more than that I'll pass.

Avery Bradley has Tony Allen defensive potential with about what we have been seeing this year in offensive potential. Best case scenario offensively is a player that can hopefully get his 3PT% up near 38-40% so that he can get his TS% up somewhere to just below average because he doesn't get to the line.

To me that has $3-5 million a year written all over it.

Regarding Waiters, he will never be the defensive player that Bradley is regardless of his increased size which really isn't that important here as both players have almost exact standing reaches and wingspans.

Waiters does have much better all around offensive potential than Bradley though because of his handle, ability to drive and get to the line and ability to pass. That said, does that make him a significantly better player than Bradley due to Bradley's better overall defense and maturity?

Waiters might become the overall better player, by a slight margin but I believe that Bradley might be a better asset for the Celtics because of just how well he and Rondo have played together when both have been healthy.

Waiters just doesn't seem like the type of SG I would want here long term as a player to play beside Rondo. Klay Thompson on the other had, now there's someone I would target.

I could be convinced that Waiters would be an appropriate backup behind Bradley.

I liked Dion Waiters when we was on our team, and his name was Jordan Crawford.

About the only thing I like about Thompson is his 3-point shooting. Besides that, he's similarly limited offensively to Bradley. Can't really drive nor finish at the rim, average to poor handle, and a poor passer.

I'd take Beal over Waiters and Thompson. If I hypothetically had a choice.

not an exaggeration--I actually burst out laughing when I read that (I read threads from the bottom up).

I'd vomit if DA gave up a haul like that for someone like Dion Waiters.

Agree. Nothing about Thompson to me is amazing. Yes his 3pt shooting is, and given the easy feeds Rondo would give him, it'd be almost scary to see how many 3's Thompson could wet. But... I'm not convinced he's a SG we should go after.

I would love these following 3 players in order.

1)Bradley Beal
2) Lance Stephenson
3) Dion Waiters

Dion Waiters have plenty of potential, and the way he plays is hard to believe this guy gets so much flack.

Yes he does have an attitude problem, but guess what? So has Rondo, Delonte West, Perkins, Pierce in his early days, etc... We have a penchant for obtaining and making the best use of players who suffer from having such a huge ego.

Waiters has a plethora of talent, and I think even CBS and Rondo can get in to his head and convince him otherwise.
