If he could be had for bradley, clippers pick and a variation of 2nd rounders i would love that trade. I am becoming so wrestles with this trade deadline

I'd vomit if DA gave up a haul like that for someone like Dion Waiters.

I think most Celtics fans would.

Haha yeah, I think you're right about that.

But there always seems to be plenty of people around who like to undervalue players on the Celts, and overvalue players on other teams.

i get that he's on the trading block, but can someone clue me in as to why we should be so enamored with waiters again?

My interest in Waiters is that he is a raw talent that easily could blossom but most likely not this year.

So, he helps us build long term and probably won't increase our win total this season.

No idea what we would have to trade to get him, however...

When you're an offensive minded combo guard who's awful at defense, you really need to be better than Avery Bradley on offense.

Waiters isn't, which is a scary prospect even if he's only 2 years in.

Welll we may be interested but it doesn't sound like the Cavs would be.  This is what Sam Amico (who covers the Cavs) tweeted...

Griffin told players to have fun, quit feeling stressed. And told Irving and Waiters that #Cavs have no plans to trade either, sources say

I would agree with that.  The Cavs are playing pretty well right now.  If they trade anyone it will be Deng since it's pretty much a foregone conclusion now that he won't be resigning with them...

if this is true then wow. the cavs were projected to be a playoff team this year and now they are simply giving up. there is no way irving is going to stay there. that whole franchise needs to be rebooted

They can still make the playoffs without a trade.

And Irving isn't going anywhere unless he's willing to forgot a max extension offer and a RFA offer sheet and play for a one year QO.

He might negotiate an early player option like Love, but he's not leaving after his rookie deal. Just too much risk for him.

Cleveland is only 3.5 games out of the playoffs right now and they've won 4 straight.  They are hardly giving up.  They are playing very good right now with the talent to make the playoffs easily..

Still a testament to how bad the East is...

Either way, I think these players will become stars in the future.

1) Bradley Beal
2) Tim Hardaway JR
3) Dion Waiters

And possibly Jeremy Lamb.

I just think Waiters is in a terrible organization that doesn't know how to utilize their players as well.
