...should be traded before the deadline.  I hope DA doesn't plan on rebuilding this team with him in mind. He's an undersized 2 that all of a sudden believes he's a scorer.  Nothing irks me more than when he cuts to the basket so nicely only to blow the layup! Also, I dont know why Stevens has given him the green light to shoot, but he just fires away almost every time he touches the ball. His ball handling is extremely suspect and his passing skills are p--- poor. Sure, he gets up on his man and plays strong D "some" time now, but have you noticed how less and less he does that now that the thinks he's a scorer?

I understand it's a contract year and all for him, but this guy is no scorer yet he fully believes he is.

Trade him while he still has decent value.

Trading him would have been much more opportune a few weeks ago when he was stringing together some hot shooting performances.

He's a streaky scorer, which is a common attribute among players with poor fundamentals.  It's difficult to be consistent offensively when you don't do the basic things -- like finishing at the rim -- very well.  It's unfortunate that he's hit a cold patch and run into some injury trouble right before the deadline.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him thrown into a trade that nets us a significant piece.

I like Avery, but he's injury prone and streaky, and it seems that his improved offense has taken away from the one thing he did exceptionally well (man defense). Maybe he should be traded.

Yup. Has to play over the top defense to stay in the league. Like tallen though allen at least can drive in and get foul calls for you. I miss tallen

I love Bradley and I'd love him just as much off the bench.  I like that he just shoots when open rather than dancing around alot with the ball figuring what to do next. Nothing fancy for the most part he either shoots or keeps the ball moving.

His defense will be there when it matters most...next time we're in the playoffs or pushing to get there.  I hope he can be resigned at a reasonable rate.  If not, then yes a trade obviously makes sense.

Avery has a terrible +/- when he's on the court. He wasn't able to handle the point and now it appears he can't handle the 2. It seems like his teams game suffers when he's on the court because he takes them out of the offense with his poor passing/shooting. He sure doesn't create for others.

The missed layups are the ones that really bother me.

I would have preferred we kept Courtney instead honestly.  Not only is he 3in taller but he is more efficient but he plays relentless D just as well, Unless Bradley nets us something decent in a trade.

I think I'd rather not pay Lee or Avery full MLE money beyond this season and go with a cheaper option, or else somebody with greater upside, at the 2 spot.

I used to be a big fan of his. But now seeing him chuck shot after shot, irritates me.

He does not look if there are rebounders near the rim, just fires away.

Bradley has shown a better offensive game this year but he has never been dominant on offense.   Guys he just came back from injury and all his shots were short.   I think he is down right injury prone.   He is a great defender.  I think he would be a great sixth man on a truly talented team.

My thoughts exactly. He always seemed like a humble kid but this year he turned into chucker of epic proportions. It's maddening to watch him chuck long 2 after long 2, even on nights his shots aren't falling.

I think his agent told him to 'take care of himself'..
He is obviously playing for his stats/contract and I think he was the one Gerald Wallace was talking about when he mentioned guys padding their stats.

Makes me sad cause I liked his demeanor last season but hey.. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone at the trade deadline.

the more he plays, the more he negatively impacts his negotiating position with his chucking and decreasing effort/results on D.

he's no building block but wouldn't be a bad player off the bench if paired with a good backup PG and he got back to focussing on playing tough D.

won't miss him if he's used as trade bait.  CJ is already passing him on the depth chart from where I stand

Someone has to shoot on the Celtics.  Just because someone is taking a lot of shots (as a very young player, by the way) right now doesn't mean they are a "chucker" for life.

Avery is basically just doing what is asked of him.  I guess he's this forums new target though.  I guess it gets boring to hate on Jeff Green every day.
