Tankers rejoice. Celtics lost. Orlando and Cleveland won.

Things have a way of evening out.

I know it doesn't conveniently fit with your righteous schtick, but this tanker, for one, doesn't rejoice after every loss.

I'm not overjoyed to see the team lose games.  I just view it as the natural and expected outcome of having a undertalented, mismatched, and inexperienced roster.  I also view this whole losing season as a necessary evil in the business of building back up to the top.

At times it involves some cognitive dissonance, but it is possible to not like the fact that the Celtics are losing and yet feel that it's both expected and for the best in the long run.

I give up. Good bye top 3 pick, hello pick #7 or #8.
These games are worth twice in reverse standings and we keep winning them like there is a special banner they give to the team who wins most games against tanking teams.

Orlando won against Indiana and OKC, those wins mean something and I could be happy about them. Our win streak is always vs tanking teams followed by blowouts vs actual NBA teams. Ahhhhh

That has got to be real frustrating cheering against the green every game.

Green and Bass have to go

If we do

Bos sends: Green
Atl sends: Carroll, Brand (expiring), 2014 pick

Bos sends: Bass, Pressy
Cha sends: sessions(expiring), Portland 2014 pick

We would be getting close to being able to offer a max next year if they do these trades , and cut bogans and dont sign Bradley . I accounted for all the draft picks and cap holds we would need, and we would end up about 14 mil in cap space I believe.

Not sure when the PP TPE runs out , but if it extends past the draft we could add a 10 mil per year player along with almost a max contract , we could sell the portland pick for cash so they could possibly get us to a max depending on the salary cap next year

Rondo
Sully
KO
top 5 pick
max contract
10mil payer from trade exception

do these trades danny!!!

I was either being sarcastic or I meant "isn't 100% correlated".

Which one makes me sound smarter?

Worst record gives you the best pick. 25% of the time 100% of the time.

That sounds really good, but there are 7 teams (not counting Bucks) that are aiming for top pick. Tell me, how many wins are Orlando and Philadelphia going to get after trade deadline?

My point is that these wins against tanking teams are hard to swallow. If we won vs Dallas and Spurs but lost vs Kings and Magic we would have the same number of wins but we would be ranked higher in reverse standings.

TP to both of you for describing my sentiments exactly. In the long run I realize what is best for our team and I do want to see some wins, but signature wins against top level teams.

These wins against crappy teams not only gives us another [useless] win, but gives them another loss.

It is, but sometimes you have to listen to your brain, not your heart. Looking at the big picture, these wins won't bring anything to this team. Most of our wins are coming vs D-league level teams anyway. Only win I really enjoyed this season was @Miami. Great win.

I won't post anymore,  but I can't figure out how can majority of fans here enjoy beating of the mighty Bucks.

P.S. How ironic would it be if the Bucks finally struck gold, draft a stud, then got moved to Seattle :)

I don't see how it's a shock that we beat the Bucks.
