The whole team is shooting so poorly that I hardly know how to make sense of it.

Sullinger is among the worst.

He's definitely a manimal when it comes to fighting for boards and put-backs. Hopefully his shooting problems have more to do with the hist injury, the Celtics ball movement, spacing, and lack of 3-point threats than they do with his own shot selection, athleticism, and mechanics.

Stats are misleading. A missed shot was like when he tried to tip the shot back in and missed and Hump was able to get it. Sully kept it alive but that counts against his efficiency. Stats lie.

Plus he has an injured shooting hand. He shoots with good mechanics and doesn't really get fed a bunch. He isn't the worst. He's their hlbest prospect right now.

Stat's don't lie, they just aren't great for blindly spouting.

Here's a shot chart for Sully over the last 30 days:

http://vorped.com/bball/index.php/player/shotchart/1464-Jared-Sullinger

While he's shooting 37.9% overall, that's helped by his put backs--he's shooting a putrid 22% on his jump shots, and his shooting percentage is saved by his tip ins--where he shoots 64%--and his layups/dunks (50% and 66%, respectively).

So, no, stats aren't misleading. Sully's jumper is awful right now.

Also when I say stats are misleading, I mean you have to actually watch his mechanics and release as opposed to just pointing to a metric. He's young and playing through injury, so saying a jumper is awful based on stats alone is not enough when evaluating a player's strengths.

I don't think anyone's disputing his injury or his shot mechanics.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
