I pray its nuggets and the deal is

To nuggets- green, ab
To bos - faried, contract filler

No offense, but that's a terrible idea, on so many levels.  I think you need to work on your player evaluation.  Faried would have been a great fit on the 2011-2013 Celtics.  But the current version, and the one likely into next year, is a bad fit, and that's an expensive price.
At this stage in the rebuilding process I think it's more about talent than fit but yes I don't think we would give up Green and Bradley for just Faried, but if they wanted to give us the knicks first this year it mgiht not be a bad deal.

I concur this is a horrible trade on SO MANY levels. Jeff Green and Bradley's talents =/= Faried. I want someone like  Luol Deng but younger and cheaper for Green, and not an undersized pf in Faried. If we are getting Faried in return for ONE of our guys, we better be getting a first rounder back as well. This is not overvaluing Green, but if you're gonna dump salaries, might as well get more assets back

The Rockets I could see cause we could trade for Asik...

The Nuggets make a lot less sense to me. Who would we get in return? McGee? I would like to think not.

Andre Miller, picks, and cap space?  The Nuggets have a trade exception from Iggy and so the salaries could work fine.  My dream would be Fournier.  I really wanted him in the draft a couple years ago -- was disappointed when the Nuggets got him right before we picked.

I think the Nuggets make some sense in both need and what they have to offer.

Gallo's down and out, well into next year, so there's the need.

They have a lot to offer. They have the Knicks 1st this year and in '16. They have their own in '15 and 3 seconds this year and next.

Green for Gallo and picks should work straight up. green for Miller/Randolph and picks also works.

Doubt we could get Fournier, but if we did then probably no 1st round picks but maybe couple of seconds.

Green into their trade exception and the New York pick coming this way would be awesome.

I do think we'd have to take back some salary, like Miller, for that to work, since I'm sure Denver is staying below the luxury tax this year.  Denver would probably want to send back at least $4.4 million to keep them below the cap.  $4.4 million is conveniently what Mosgov makes this year, for fans of Timofey.  Miller makes $5 mil, which would also work.  Denver is too short of expirings to completely clear Green's cap number for next year, although Miller's contract is only guaranteed for $2 million next season.

Give us Mosgov and Wilson Chandler for Jeff Green and some 2nd rounders.

Is that too much to ask, Denver?

I always liked Chandler (would prefer Galinari). He is J Green at a cheaper option, same potential, but a bit older and less flashy, but still inconsistent. He's 6-10 and 'could' play the 3 or 4, so about the same player.
Mosgov was a project in NY and now he's a good back up, could be starter potential and could be a defensive C.
Thoughts?

faried + filler is a no brainer, doubt it happens

i would take miller+mosgov+one of fournier, quincy or hamilton for greean and favs.

the andre miller salary would come in handy could be combined with bogans contract next year for over 10 mill salary that can be bought out for 2 mill.

no chandler or gallo, unless they are being traded to other teams, lateral moves at best, we need long term projects, cap relief or picks

On what planet is Chandler 6-10 or older than Jeff Green? Chandler ia 15 months younger.

Unless you're referring to Gallo who is 6-10... but also 2 years younger than Green.

It makes sense for the Rockets you want to go all the way?? Well you'll most likely be going through James or Durant and Green is somebody you can put on either one who has good size and isn't a awful defender.

agreed.  same would apply to Faried.  we already have a PF glut and the ones we have are bigger.

Any deal sending out Green (with or without AB) would have to include picks coming back.

Houston wants a killer pick for Asik....it's just to much talent to sit on the bench ....unhappy talent. At that .  I don't see Houston trading him to a team that Asik will turn around help clobber his old team.   Think he comes east.

I think he winds up in Boston personally...for better or worse

Just not sure for what assets though

No no no no. Can't have a celtic as a returning star of shaqtin a fool.

Oh come now, fellow Celtics fan - this team is barely watchable right now with a severe lack of effort and offense (which shouldn't be surprising to anyone who watched that Butler vs UCONN NCAA Title Game.  That was embarrassingly hilarious.  I couldn't watch more than the first half.  That contest definitely set the game of basketball back by about 5-10 years haha.).  Why not add some entertainment to Danny's circus?  It would be epic ;D

Too bad Mcgee has a 3 year deal though.  In all seriousness, if a trade with Denver was to develop I think it would be best to include Jordan Hamilton in such a deal.  He's young, a good shooter, and an expiring contract.  Let him audition for the final few months.  He's not playing now anyway because of some issue with the team that I cannot remember at the moment.  Still, at least he's a character guy (sarcasm).

Not sure what the deal would be between the Celtics and the Nuggets.  The Nuggets could use a wing scorer with Gallo out for the rest of the season, but what player on the Nuggets would the Celtics really want?  McGee?  No thanks.

Green + Fav for Asik + Casspi (expiring) works in the trade machine, is a 2 for 2 deal, and is a trade of a backup 5 and 3 for a backup 5 and 3/4 (Green).  Green would finish games instead of Jones who is another hack-a-target at the charity stripe.  Green also gives them more defense at both positions and more 3FG shooting too.

I was over at the Rockets boards for the back-to-back losses vs Memphis and they were regretting not getting Lee and Bass for a guy who still is not playing. Morey also knows the Rockets are pretenders, not contenders.  I'm not sure DA does it though.
