I've been hearing his name for a while but all I know about him is that he's a PG/SG with good size at 6'6 and can drive at will using his lightning speed first step. To me he seems to have higher upside than smart and randle in the nba. Can someone provide me some more details and analysis about his game?
( I've heard that he has averaged nearly a triple double last year in his league but not sure if it's true )

This is a guy I think Celtics fans should hope for. Should be available around #5 which the celtics should pick around. high upside, I like him more than smart...However do we need him if we have Rondo?

I like Exum a lot (definitely more than Smart). And to your question, he's more of a combo guard so yeah he could play with Rondo (which might make Bradley expendable). The thing about him (and Wiggins as well) is that for everyone that is angry that we didn't draft Giannis, Exum and Wiggins are probably better versions of him. He has incredible potential and I would be pretty stoked if he ended up in green.

Hope we get him. For me my top two faves are Exum and Embiid. He is lighting off his first step, making it easy for him to drive to the ring where his athleticism enables him to either jump over anyone in front of him or contort his body around them. Pretty good playmaker, specializes on the drive and kick. He is a solid defender, and with a 6'9" wingspan and very quick feet he has lots of potential at that end. Only real question to his game is his shooting (sound familiar) but he is very young and his jumpshot is improving.

Also just a nice kid. I've played with him sometimes as we're both from Melbourne, similar age etc. and he's the nicest guy.

I really hope we net Dante.

If Parker, Embiid and Wiggins are all off of the board I would be happy to take Exum as a consolation prize at 4th.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Yeah I don't see any way of him being taken in the top 3

Exum would be the ideal SG next to Rondo and Green. His game is really on point and he's rapidly improving.

Mark my words....Exum will be the best player from this draft. I've actually watched him play in person and he was incredible.

I'm obviously biased but I really do think Exum would be a great fit for the Celtics.

IMO he's going to need to be brought along a little slower than guys like Parker, Wiggins and Randle. Which would suit the Celtics as they aren't going to be competing for a title next year and could afford to ease him into the NBA.

No doubt he's been working extremely hard behind the scenes but at this stage I'm not sure if he's physically developed enough for solid NBA rotation minutes straight away.

When he played for Australia against New Zealand in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers in August last year he was used very sparingly, just over 5 minutes in each of the 2 games.

I think a year at college would be great for his development but knowing that his dad Cecil wants him to enter the NBA draft this year (to avoid risk of injury etc) I've got no doubt that is what Dante will do.

I'd love to have a big guard like him. It's kind of frustrating to watch small ball lineups that seldom work. Standing at 6'6 with a 6'9 wingspan, Exum actually possesses great physical tools to be a better player than bradley both offensively and defensively.

The fact that a talent like Exum could be available at 5 or 6 shows how much grade-A beef this draft has.  I'd be thrilled if we ended up with Exum.

The defensive upside of a Rondo/Bradley/Exum guard rotation is incredible.

The only reason I wouldn't be excited about getting this kid is because we got screwed in the draft out of a higher spot.

I could see this kid as our SG going forward next to Rondo.  Start with Rondo and resign AB to come off the bench as 3rd guard.  Exum sounds a lot like a young Wade with the potential to be a defender/player like prime Dumars.

I like him over Smart in terms of fitting with Rondo.

I'd rather Exum than a bunch of people, including Smart and Randle. He's Penny Hardaway and Russell Westbrook's hybrid.
