Celtics fans are harsh people and a lot of us have issues with Ray Allen, but this is a serious reach. I like AB, but he will never be = Ray Allen let alone > Ray Allen.

The topic should read 23 year old Avery Bradley > 38 year old Ray Allen... food for thought: in 9 games since the new year at almost 28 minutes a game Ray Ray has averaged 5.7 points and is shooting a horrible .22% from the field... No need to look up Bradley's numbers because there's no question he's outperforming that. The Heat are 5-4 with an overtime win and loss in that span. I like to think Ray's poor play has a lot to do with those losses

He's shooting about 45% from the field and nearly 40% from three.  They are very good numbers foraguard, and not the numbers ofa chucker.  If your putting up those percentages then either you have solid shot selection, or you''re just really, really good..

I completely agree. I mean, his 3p% is actually down to like .365% after lastnight's rough 0-5 long range performance, but his numbers are still solid. Definitely better than average. I don't understand where this "Bradley is a chucker" mentality is coming from. Shooting guards are supposed to shoot, aren't they? And it helps that Bradley has been doing so efficiently all season, normally hovering around 40% from 3p range. That doesn't sound like a chucker to me.

And when Rondo gets back into a rhythm, and starts consistently dropping Bradley those sweet dimes for his favorite corner 3 every game, his numbers should only get better.

he'd be a good guard off the bench, not a starter and especially not a closer.  rarely does anything good happen when he has the ball at the end of a game in a crunch situation.  take the past 2 games for example-->a ball handler or distributor he is not.

I think he is fine as the starter, and should be locked up for that role moving forward. Him and Rondo are the backcourt of the future. I agree he hasn't made many clutch plays recently, but he is probably still trying to get comfortable in that clutch shooter role. He was never really needed in clutch situations in the past, with Pierce & Ray the designated go-to clutch guys his first 2-3yrs in the league.

Nobody can argue that Bradley is a good handler or distributor, because he isn't. But he is a solid shooter and a great cutter, and he has RR as his backcourt mate to take care of the majority of the passing and the ball-handling.
