Anyone else notice his highlight blocks the past few games?

Seems like he already cleared things up with Rondo...love to have him back if it's for the right price. But what is the right price? 7-8 mil / season? MLE?

The contract length is probably more important than the money.  If I wanted to re-sign him, I would offer more per year if he would agree to a two-year deal rather than a three-year deal.

I assumed Bass was going to be gone in trade and hump we be given a hard look for resigning.  I like him as both big spots, guy can come off bench, rebounds and brings it every night
as long as new contract isn't like nets one!

Hump can be a building piece as he shares the same age as rondo. Didn't you guys see there's a little connection between rondo and hump in the detroit game? I like how he runs the floor and make good finishes in the paint, where bass often struggle and make a strange hook shot. He shoots just as good and can defend larger opponents. He's also an energy guy that hustles for rebounds and get highlight blocks.

For somewhere between 5-7 m a year, I'll sign him in a heartbeat.

No we don't.

He is going to demand approx 8 million on his next contract and should get it (looking around the league).

He is not really part of the long term plan. If he will accept 6 a year and we can trade Bass , then maybe

I think he's worth $8 million for how he plays. A double double guy, who's shown he can block shots too, easy. And he's 29, he can still be productive for the next 5-6 years.

The money IS the big concern though. To keep him, we may have to pay him that much. I dont think we can afford that.

he is a decent player. But yeah right now we are trying to start clean

Rondo is next for a contract, then maybe AB (though i hope not). Next thing you know guys like Sullinger, Olynyk etc will need one.

Yeah I'll give AB's money to hump. AB is somehow overrated IMO and bayless is filling the sg position pretty well now.      Hump makes more impact on the floor if AB isn't pressuring the other point guard full court anymore.

Humphries is the type of guy you want on a one year deal. Just look at his career numbers in contract years.

I see no need for resigning him when we have Sully and Olynyk at PF spot. He isn't a center, he just plays there this season cause we have no traditional centers on our roster. I would be shocked if Danny gave him 3 or 4 year deal.

He can be a useful player on a contending team but we are not there yet. We are rebuilding and it makes no sense to tie up your cap with role players when you don't have building blocks in the house.

Never did understand the Hump bashing prior to him coming here! Jealousy I guess!
But while RR is the brilliant scientist/surgeon of our team, KH, I believe, is the heart and soul, even though he's often a bench guy! Heck, at times, I've often thought he's even worth his contract, and that's crazy talk! But of all the guys on this team, it's Kris who I think exhibits what a true Celtic is, in the way he plays! I could easily see him playing with Tommy, Russ, Hondo, and Cowens, and fitting in seemlessly!
Please, Danny, I don't care how you do it, but get Hump resigned---we'll be a much better team with him on our side!

If Humphries is the heart of your team you have serious issues. I wouldn't want to do any deal with a player of his caliber that would hurt our flexibility in 2015.

He's a Brandon Bass caliber guy, not a building block. Better rebounding than Bass, worse defense. Bass is a guy who we regret having on the cap at 6 per year when we're not contending. It'd be the same with Humphries.

Humphries is the type of guy you sign to the MLE.

I'd say he's an upgrade over bass. Bigger frame, more sound rebounding and shoots the same, not to mention his hustle and capability of being content with any given role (being consistently good despite fluctuating playing time).

Building blocks aren't just stars like rondo and potential stars like sully, it can also be big time role players like how KO is projected to be by Ainge. A championship contender is always a mix of stars and decent role players, and I see hump fits perfectly in the puzzle in that supporting role. If danny could sign him at a reasonable price for a couple of years,I'd do it.

Humphries doesn't "shoot the same" as Bass. And Sullinger is no way a "potential star".
