Wow so much hate on Kevin Love...
His team help isn't even that bad... Its just his individual one on one defense... Yes his defense isn't great overall, but technically rebounding on the defensive end counts as defense too... He grabs boards, hits threes easily, and is almost impossible to stop when hes on a shooting streak. See what the Clippers tried to do, and eventually they won it by some clutch shots in the 4th. Put him next to a defensive Center, and watch him shine... Pekovic is not a defensive Center, just a bruiser in the paint. Also while Sully is injury prone, so is Kevin Love... They have to think of getting an upgrade on SF, and a few draft picks plus a potential Allstar candidate PF in Sullinger should be enticing enough..
Can you guys imagine the pick and roll/pop type of play that Kevin Love/Rondo will be able to do? I firmly don't believe LA is where Love wants to be. He may think its the best spot and place for him based on his history, but he'd be better off playing for the Celtics, where they have a great pass first point guard that can get him easy looks, and with Love on our team we're definitely a contender just missing one more piece.
For a player that averages that much it doesn't matter if its on a garbage team... Anyone that can average over 10 RPG, and over 20 points isn't garbage....
Like I said before for a trade proposal.
Personally I would do this.
Sullinger+Green+Vitor Faverani and 14 first round pick, and the 2015 Philly pick that is essentially two second rounders, and Miami Heat second round.
Green is a definite improvement of Brewer, who can't score as well, but can only defend. Green is a way better upgrade, and can or can not be the 3rd or 4th best player. Sullinger is already proving his potential, and he's 21 on a two year friendly contract. They get our draft pick this year, and use that as a good building block for whatever position they need.
I was hoping we could keep Green if we wanted to pick up Melo or Gasol later in the future. But right now as it stands, our picks, and Humphries can be our best asset.
