We ain't trading you Rondo, but you can have Sully, Green, Humphries, and a draft pick for Kevin Love and Chase Budinger!

And then recruit Carmelo Anthony from NY. And there you have it...Boston's Big 3 of Rondo, Love, and Melo! We'll be winning multiple championships with this lineup! Hahahahahahaha.

A "semi" big three of Rondo, Love and Gordon Hayward along with Budinger would be a nice nucleous.  Still would need a defensive minded center...

Yeah I proposed it a little while ago and just cut and paste, didn't pay enough attention.  That part definitely needs to be adjusted now, but I wouldn't be so sure about Crash and picks for Gordon as it save New Orleans a bunch of money and Gordon is always getting hurt.

If the Celtics get the third pick in this draft I could see them flipping it and sullinger/green for Love

If we get the 3rd pick I would be more inclined to draft either Embiid, Parker, Wiggins or Exum but I could see it go down where Cs trade their pick, Sully and a future pick + filler for love on draft day. But DA would have to be sure he is signing and not leaving for lakers.

Kevin Love is a top 10 player in the NBA, you give whatever you can to get him. Although I wouldn't give as much if he didn't sign an extension as part of the deal.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If the C's get the 3rd pick in this draft I don't see it going anywhere.  Worst case is one of Parker/ Embiid/ Wiggins at that spot.  If the pick were lower like 7-10, then maybe with Sully for Love.  Depends who is available at that spot.

Well, of course it depends on what else the Celtics have to give up. I would not give up, for example, Sullinger and 3 unprotected future 1st round picks.

But a reasonable offer based on Sullinger and lesser players or draft picks, of course.

Evantime is exactly right, though, you would need assurance that Love will commit to Boston long term.

If only it was that easy. But if he walks, Minny would drop the ball big time. I don't think an expiring Gasol with no picks would be as attractive as a Celtics offer including Sully, expiring contract, and upcoming first round pick(s).

But as someone else said, we have to see where that pick lands. Top 3? Not moving. But the above package and possibly Exum, Smart, or Randal might be attractive to them.

Darn, I like Sully a lot. Very similar but also very different than the Big Al (and fluff) for KG deal.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

If Love can't fit with a pass-first PG like Rubio, what makes you think he will fit Rondo?

If you want to compete for banner 18, we need a star, especially a post player that can at least defend. I don't see Love doing it. But if I were to consider him, we need a defensive anchor that protects the paint.

I prefer Cousins if he were available to be honest.

Love fits just fine with Rubio (pass first) flow wise. His issues are with the team's overall performance (all the losing).

His real problem with Rubio is that Rubio can't make layups or shoot any shot other than a set feet 3-pointer.

I know Rondo is improving but he and Rubio have similar issues.
