Can we just admit sullinger has been hot garbage for the past 8 games?

If it's because of injury, they need to shut him down for an extended period.  He's been terrible lately.

He's pretty obviously struggling through an injury.  I imagine if the team has allowed him to keep playing, it's because they've determined that doing so won't cause his injury to get any worse or delay the healing process.

Sully was outplaying a lot of big names earlier in the year . He played great against Duncan, Horford, Love , indy's front line , det's front line .

It is clearly the hand that is bothering him . I say just sit him until February . There's no way he goes from putting up 20/10 per 36 to playing like garbage if it's not for the injury .

He's been horrible, though.  His minutes dropped to 12 in the last game.  He's getting technical fouls left and right.  Shooting like 28% over the past 8 games and we've dropped 7 in a row.  The only thing he's helping is our draft hopes.

They oughta shut him down until he's healthy.

I like SUlly a lot.  I'm just saying that there's no sense in having a 20 year old play through an injury.  Let the dude get healthy.

He's not playing well but I don't think that KO or Vitor (for example) would do a better job. It's pretty clear his injury is bothering him, but I don't know that he needs to sit until he's at full strength.

Sully is pretty hardheaded about his injury

I think he should rest a couple weeks or protect the arm ........but I'm no doctor ......you see it screwing up nearly everything he tries to do ...he is watching out for his arm ......

I rather have him out for a few weeks and return healthy than just prolonging and reinjuring  himself  for months on end .

The season is over I term of playoff most likely ...unless a All Star appears out of no where  .........just play it safe and tank along and finish out the season .

Combination of his injury getting to him and get general frustration is getting to him in games as witnessed by some of his stupid flagrants.

Shutting him down for a few games won't hurt anything.  Could actually be beneficial for the kid at this point.

I agree that the hand injury is affecting him greatly and that Stevens should bench him until he's well.

Jeez, a guy sucks it up and goes out there playing through an injury and he gets his play called hot garbage.  I'd rather have that than the alternative, a guy who has to sit every time he gets a little dinged.  We'd have to petition the league for more roster spots.

Maybe he is just reverting to what he is.  Or maybe other teams are starting to gameplan for him more.  Plenty of players play great for stretches but can't sustain it.

It's admirable until it starts hurting the team.

Except it's pretty telling that his eFG% dropped like a rock coincident with his injury.

Sully was a solid ~50% eFG% shooter last year and again this year all the way up to his injury.   That is "what he is".

Since the injury, in the space of just a handful of games, his eFG% has plummeted to 46%.

I don't think that's regression.  That's deviation.

While I commend his toughness, I'm in the camp that thinks he should rest in order to get healthy.  He's not helping the team by playing through this injury.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

It's also not unheard of for a young player to hit a wall or fall off the face of the earth after the rest of the league catches up on him and has a chance to scout him.   It's also not unheard of for a young player to lose confidence after a string of bad games.

I'd sit him down and get him 100%.

its the injury. quite frankly, i think we really need to shut him down for a little bit until the hand gets better. not sure how long that will take, but at least rest him a few games. he's not helping us much playing the way he is right now...which, again, is due to the injury.
