.Knicks just beat the cHeat tonight for 3rd straight win. They're heating up and have passed us just like the Nets did a couple of days ago .

Figured it would happen eventually. They're more talented.

More importantly, they beat the Heat without Tyson Chandler.

That's legitimately impressive, whether we're entering the doldrums of the season or not.

The standings are getting back to "normal". I for one don't want this team, as it's constructed today, to just fall into the playoffs by luck of a crappy conference.

Excellent. If we can sneak into the top 4 in this draft, I would be very happy, assuming we didn't get bumped down in the lottery.

One of Wiggins, Parker, Randle or Embiid guaranteed on draft night would be incredible.

Figured it would happen eventually. They're more talented.

We did lose an absurd amount of games, 9 of the past 10 games, also accounts for this. Quite a few of the games were winnable, too.

I don't really mind if they missed the playoffs and won't argue NY and BKN are more talented, because they are obviously more talented and this is no surprise. Just providing some perspective.

We also arguably won more games than we should of. Other teams performed worse than expected or suffered even more injury issues than us. Considering how our GM constructed this horrid roster we were projected to be below 10 wins by now.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Pretty cool.  Now it's Cleveland's turn.  I don't think I have ever paid such close attention to the bottom of the standings for an entire season in my whole life.  It certainly adds a huge area of interest to the season that is not usually there.

Lol I always look forward to reading your posts, man.  The comedy makes my day.  Thanks

yes, I'm looking at the same....the Cavs should pass us,putting us 6 from the bottom.   I don't want to purposely lose, but this season is what it is....development for the young guys, looking to trade just about all the vets, and Stephens learning the NBA.   If we also happen to get a good pick from this, all the better.

It may mean nothing to you except "cancelling out" all the wins.

But for those who still watch the games (me included ;D, and hopefully you too) it's something. Being a relatively easy stretch of games, 3, 4 or even 5 wins could probably have come out of that stretch instead of just the 1. So...hopefully more bearable basketball for the rest of the season.

Also, it's a testament to how terrible the East is. A team that's around .500 after 20-ish games loses 10 games and only then does 2 supposed contenders (or at least playoff bound teams) catch up. Absurd season.

Edit:

And the wins aren't all bad for tankers. Crawford and Hump went from completely untradeable to actually quite valuable. Hell, LEE gained value.

I guess we're getting the best of both worlds now?

Praise Stevens.

Amazing (at least to me) is that we'll be 39 games into the season -- 2 short of half-way.  We'll be below a 30-win pace.  That didn't seem likely a few weeks ago.
