He decent player.   Better handler than Lee, but gives up height and some D ability.........ok given it gets Lee s contract gone.

I liked Lee a lot .   He became a better player for being at Boston.

Not a fan.  He was 3-9 from the field in a game in which PJ kept saying was a hot shooting game.  It was a typical Bayless game as far as shooting and the 5 assists are more than double what he has averaged this year and for his career.

He appears more polished and under control than Crawford but I think Crawford is a slightly more effective player.

and? Bradley was 1-7 and finished at 10-18. If Bayless shot and made the next three he would be 6-12. He is playing conservatively right now. The past 5-7 games with the grizzlies he was shooting 5-11, 6-12

I can live with 3-9 , especially when two of the shots are 3 pointers. He also had 5 assists. He is a better passer than i thought. Much better than Jcraw who usually projects his passes. JB works similar to how Rondo does, weaving through the pick and roll, going to open area, kind of freezing the defense before making the pass. Olynyk looked somehow alot better playing with JB yesterday

If you didn't like Crawford, you're not going to like Bayless. His presence is still hugely irrelevant, though -- he's a salary dump and a rental.

10 pts and 5 assist is as good as you get from a backup pg production in the nba. if he keeps it up he should remain with the team for the next several years. i like him better than jcraw
as do i
trade crawford, resign bayless
he seems to have a nice handle, doesn't have lee's defense
my guess is ainge is moving crawford in another deal and looking to resign bradley

At 25 if bayless is cheap enough I could see him signing as back up pg for next season
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

Yeah, I've haven't seen Bayless a ton, but I never got the impression that he was wild รก la Crawford. In fact, he made a habit of playing really well against Boston.

And if Deandre Jordan hits 2 of 2 free throws, he is a 100% free throw shooter.

Bayless has been a horrible shooter over his entire career.

Yup, he's here to drive the tank. Haha
I think he's alright. Plays hard. I was at the Clips game floor seats behind the Celtic bench and he was really involved all game.

Bayless LOOKS like a point guard...the best we got...Crawford and Bayless have more of a future and for less money, than Rondo and Bradley...send off Rondo and Bradley for another 1st rounder and a BIG like Asik or Motiejunas

Just in the nick of time

I really like the way he mixes up his speed out there/hesitation dribbling. I'm surprised by his passing skills

anyone on earth could have been on the other end of that 3.1mil, as long as it was expiring -- the Cs did the deal to be free of Lee's contract, period.

Bayless stinks.

LOL, you're joking right?  Rondo and Bradley for Asik?
Talk about horrible overpay.
If we trade Rondo, I'd like to actually get back a GOOD asset.

Houston can barely move Asik now cos of his 15million dollar contract 'poison pill' that is due up next year.

Houston will take what we give them, and we won't be overpaying for a guy like Asik.

As for Bayless, he looks like a cheaper version of Crawford.  Crawford is the better scorer so he actually has trade value.  I anticipate us moving Crawford in a package.  Bayless stays as the backup cos Pressey just ain't ready for prime time.

I've read that Brad Stevens likes the 2 PG lineup (with Craw and Bayless). I do too.

Spamming the best play in the NBA today - the pick and roll - was pretty cool. I remember one play (vs. the Clips) where they basically ran 2 pick and rolls and it ended with (iirc) a made jumper by Bayless.

The passing also got infectious.

Playing Bayless next to Craw also gives us a nice little sneak peek of what happens when (and if, according to LarBrd) Rondo comes back.

As for too-early impressions of Bayless himself, he's better than I expected. He's not as big of a chucker as I'd previously thought, maybe because of limited minutes and maybe because he was playing next to Craw, who is truly a maniac.

The 2 PG lineup worked really well for the Knicks last year, and I seem to remember it working well for the Nuggets, too.

However I'm compelled to say that we've officially deemed Bayless and Crawford both point guards... and we may have entered the Twilight Zone.
