You are not entirely wrong. However you are also missing something. Defense wins championship. If you're going to argue that we need an All-Nba team player to win a championship, we also need an all-defensive team player

Let's look at team players on recent teams that won a championship. Each team have at least one player that made the All-Defensive team on their roster.

So far, we have two on our rosters who made the all-defensive team,Rondo and Bradley. One player that made the all star and all nba (Rondo). We have potential players that could possibly made it in the all-star (Green, Sullinger, Bradley and Olynyk and our draft picks). I'm trusting Danny for this one because he knows what it takes for banner 18 more than anyone on this blog. We have many assets to acquire those type of players for the next following seasons.

that does bring up a key point for the celtics. they need a better center if they are to be real contenders in the next few years. perhaps the emphasis there should be defense first, offense is nice?

this is way i actually hope ainge seriously considers getting sanders. his rim protection would create a ripple effect on defense for the entire team i believe.

of course my real dream is embiid in the draft for the celtics. he looks to be quite a player so far.
