Yes. Double Yes.

He is in a contract year, so i imagine this is as good as he gets. It's hard to see his shot selection getting any better now, and although he could be a scoring 6th man à la Jamal Crawford off the bench we don't need that player yet. Cash in (if there is anything to be cashed in) i say!

Bulls love Snell, and are likely to go into rebuilding mode. Not likely.

I think the best you could get for Crawford right now is (possibly) a mid-tier 2nd round pick, or a young player who hasn't panned out as hoped.

Better to wait until the deadline and see if the market improves, or if he needs to be be packaged in a bigger trade. He's also likely to come cheap next year -- might want to hold on to him unless he can actually produce some meaningful value in return.

To the question posed by the thread title:

Yes.  The Celtics should sell high on Crawford as soon as possible.  The same applies to Bass and Lee.

If Danny can find palatable trades for any of those players, he really ought to pull the trigger.

Yeah definitely, as others have said if there is a market for Crawford/Lee/Bass by all means look to sell.

I doubt Crawford fetches much though, he'll be thought of as stats on a bad team guy and he's going to be a FA.

I think Crawford finishes the year here probably.

Crawford put up better numbers in short stretches for the Wizards and was only able to net them Jason Collins and a injured Barbosa.... I am not so sure at this point there is a "selling high" with Crawford.

I'm not so sure that there won't be a market for Crawford.  Yes, he's put up decent stats on bad teams before, but I think it's fair to say that so far this year he's shown the ability to be a regular positive contributor.  The team is playing better with him than without him.  You couldn't say that about Crawford's teams in the past.

Given that he has a low salary and his contract does not come with commitment beyond this season, I think Danny could potentially get a second round pick and an expiring or an end of roster prospect in return for Crawford if there's a playoff-hopeful out there that needs a bench ball-handler who can score.

I think Jordan Crawford would have to maintain his level of play for a few months before his trade value really changes. If traded now, I don't think he'd be worth any more now than he was to Washington.

Something to revisit closer to the trade deadline.

He may have put up better numbers but I think this is the best bball he has played in his career. He is actually playing the PG role pretty efficiently and giving good effort on D.

When boston traded for Crawford he was viewed as a volume scoring SG to come off the bench and get quick points from. The Cs can sell him as a starting PG who averages 5 assist and shoots 40% from 3. His overall stat line is better then roses to start the season. Not saying thats a fair comparison but its a fact.

I think that Crawford has proven that he is a very nice backup pg. Both last season with the Wizards and this season with the Celtics. So his value should be higher than when we got him.
The trade partners are out there: Warriors, Pacers, Grizzlies, Knicks (and probably more teams) look like they could use a better backup pg.

I think it is more like "sell higher than he was last year but still not all that high".  I am sure Danny would include him in a deal in a heartbeat but I also don't think his value is all that high around the league.

Count me in the minority.  I want to keep him.

I think he could be a great combo guard off of the bench. Unless we got an insane deal, why would we trade him? Is he a RFA or URFA?

Ditto.
None of these guys are in the long term plans for the Celtics. Fingers crossed that Crawford continues to play well into the new year, and is a significant portion of some sort of package....
Celtics fan for life.

Agreed - a great alternative to Bradley off the bench.

I do like the way he closed out the ATL game under control in the 4th. Some good ball.

I like him a lot, but what will he command in the offseason?
