Kelly is "hurt", Hump and Bass are showcasing their talents. At some point, Kelly will change from being hurt to not being hurt. Will both Hump and Bass still be Celtics when that change takes place? We shall see.
You don't have to be "hurt" to be a DNP-CD in this league anymore. This is not baseball.

As an added thought to this post I believe there is just as good a chance as Olynyk being dealt as thereis Bass and Hump being dealt. Whether that's because Bass is a part of this team's future and/or Hump's contract is needed to expire or because Danny thinks:

a. Olynyk is so good we can acquire a great piece by using him in a trade or

b. Olynyk has disappointed and its time to move on

c. Olynyk is a complimentary piece and ultimately expendable in the right deal.

Either way, I think Olynyk has as good a chance as being traded from this team this year as any other player people think is on the trading block.

Olynyk to be back for fri vs knicks. We could really use him right now.

Eh.

We could really use him if he plays well.

Healthy is good, but will he be effective? That's the real question..Hump did a good job on the Knicks and I think they'll have Kenyon in the starting line up...he will bully KO.

While some of you guys are looking at the picture, you are missing the background. Stevens has played and started olynyk over bass, hump. Suddenly they are ahead?

They have played well but olynyk does alot more of the little things that puts him ahead. Once his shot becomes consistent, there is no comparison imo. IQ is higher

Stevens started Avery Bradley at the point, but then adjusted his rotations based on what worked.

I don't think Olynyk should start simply because he has already started--he's neck and neck with Fav for least effective Big.

You got to be serious. While i agree fav is down on the list, olynyk is still up there. He lost his spot due to injury, not negativr play. And bass and hump imo havent done enough to leap over him.

Olynyk is going to get mins , likely off the bench once he comesback. But it will decrease everyone elses. Olynyk i bet makes his way back as a starter soon.

Have you been watching Bass..he's one of the better defenders and he's improving his post game. He's been the most consistent. Kelly should come off the bench and work his way back.

I also think that Sullinger's success as an undersized center could keep Olynyk from starting.

Kelly will come off the bench regardless due to just coming back from an injury.

Bass is decent but he is not starting material. He has usually has zero assists, plays one on one offensive basketball while his defense is decent. Olynyk affects the games without even scoring. Defensively gives you some more size. I mean he is not like chandler out there but its not easy to have two 6'8-6'9 guys out there either. That xtra hight makes it a little harder for guys to execute lob baskets and make interior passes.

Don't you think you're short changing Bass here a little bit ?

The guy has been [dang] good, almost everywhere.

Olynyk will need to earn his time back. Hump, Bass, Fav and Sully have been playing well collectively and individually which has led to team success.

You don't hand back playing time to a rookie that was playing in an underwhelming manner before he got hurt simply because he is returning. Long term, its probably in Olynyk's best interest to have to compete and beat out someone else for the playing time than to just be given that playing time.

If he's as good as some of KO's fans think he is, this can only be a good thing and will make him better overall. Let's not hurt his long term development simply because some fan boys think he should be getting the time right away, without earning it. Make him earn it, it will toughen him up and set the right overall tone in the locker room.
